sold out in 3 minutes! :)

    • +1

I got through to the credit card details, etc. page and by the time I filled it out it was out of stock…

    • no, 2 mins!

  • sold out

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…. gone…

  • -1

i process my credit card details at 12.02pm and said it was sold out…

How many did they have for sale..
    bloody 2 units???

    • 40

    • Says right there, 40 units
That's quite a few considering the discount

    • Well the tech is to bypass as much "amexconnect" as possible since that site is guaranteed to crash midday everyday :)

I'll leave the rest of it for you to think bout…

  • AMEXConnect sucks.. I have card directly from AMEX and not allowed in on the deal. so stupid.

    • You won't miss much.

    • I don't have a bank issued card either.
Didn't stop me buying everything I wanted

      • So can I still buy it with my amex issued card? Doesn't their checkout system stop you from using amex issued card?

        • No it doesnt! That's the beauty of it!

Anyone can void the T&C's and buy things!

        • Yes. Yes you can. I have stated this numerous times.

      • I have already reported you to Amex for breaching the T&C. LOL

        • They don't care.

  • fail why bother posting these? srly?

  • says out of stock? when i buynow

though home page not saying out of stock

  • thats ridiculous - i refreshed the page at 12.. didnt refresh till 12.02 - then had to click through and it was out of stock by the time i got there.. how are you supposed to buy this?!

  • i completed my details at 12:03pm and..cant get one….i think they only got 1 for sell not 40 units….sucks!!

  • What technique are you guys using?
I load it up and refresh hard til I can see the special offer, then click through.
Locked up big time today, couldn't get close.

  • +4

Scored one!! Whoohooo!! tried 3 browsers and google chrome was the fastest…

    • No need for a fast browser… It's not rendering speed that's letting you down, it's fingers.

    • +3

Because I like to share the love.
I even provided the direct link. Let's not be selfish OzBargainers now…

    • +2

i dont blame you, but thats really not the spirit of ozbargainers right?

        • Sadomasochism?

        • +2

22 negs over two comments… I guess you're living up to your namesake.

  • This is sooo stupid. The sit crashed, I can deal with the slowness but crashing and running out of stock??

  • expired :(

  • +2

    LOL
They changed the link for today's deal, not the expected 46:
    https://www.amexconnect.com.au/OfferDetails.aspx?OfferId=118

    • But how did you know they were going to change the offer number? You are very smart. Well done.

      • -4

It redirects to the correct offer i think.

Or there are programs that can do it that allow you to check the ID used in the ASPX. not real hard.

        • +2

Nope, 46 redirects to the placeholder 48 still.

I didn't find 118 by any l33t skills, just clicked through to the main page, posted on OzBargain whilst I was waiting.

I did have the post pre-typed though.

      • +2

        I actually didn't.
Panicked when I saw 46 redirect to 48 again, even at 5 seconds past 12, loaded the main page and clicked through.

I got one even without employing any "cheats"

        • +1

i was scared to load main page if it was too slow and crashed …damn, good on AMEX for most likely reading OzB though and making it a bit more fair for everyone …even if i missed out :(

  • -1

This is a shit promotion… I have been on everyday at 12 and only have managed to buy one thing… Something stupid…

Things like todays deals are just too hard to get your hands on..

    Ohh well..

    • -7

You just need to internet better. Maybe I'll post tomorrow's deal with my tips

  • damn …i tried http://www.amexconnect.com.au/OfferDetails.aspx?OfferId=46 after that tip was given but they changed the number on us to "118" lol!!

    http://www.amexconnect.com.au/OfferDetails.aspx?OfferId=118

    :(

  • Sold out/ expired.

  • +3

damn fast…. sold out faster than one direction tickets.

  • How OP buy it?
I was there at 12:00 and click buy it.
It keeps loading until 12:02 and direct me to out of stock page….
    Maybe I am in Adelaide?

    • -1

When you goto the main site it redirects to the aspx with the ID. go directly to that ID then click it a popup comes up and you will click it to goto the https://connect.aefactory.com.au/? website in which it redirects to another and you enter your details there.

Only the first 40 who get to that https://connect.aefactory.com.au/? will work.

      • Only the first 40 to finish entering their details got it.
I had my credit card number sitting in my clipboard.

    • Seriously, no voodoo.
I loaded the main page, clicked on the deal, clicked Buy Now,
got redirected, entered details and bought it.

Your computer clock (more than likely) syncs to a highly accurate computer so when the clock hits 12, load the page.

      • +1

Maybe you are from the Sydney end?
I am from the Adelaide end?

  • wow always miss out on deals like this very good price you need to be lucky to get in quick oz bargain moderators delete this deal as it is out of stock and expired.

  • I'm 200X ;)

  • +1

it's SOLDOUT so perhaps OP wont mind mark it & edit the title?

  • "The Samsung Galaxy Tablet 7.7” is only available with WiFi and 16GB Memory"

Pity wasn't 3G. I would be more disappointed at missing out if it was…

    • Why do people need 3G in tablets? You're never going to be in a situation where you have your tab but not your phone to tether, and it saves needing a second data plan.

      • It's a good fall-back but definately not as convenient. I know with iPhone 4S tethering from iPad 2 it's ok.. definately not something I can rely on to work every time right away. Often involves turning on and off bluetooth etc. Sometimes the WiFI doesn't get an IP from DHCP.

        • -1

Are you on anything other than Telstra?
Don't blame hardware for a network problem

        • I'm on Telstra

  • -7

Im just happy I got my camera! from the other week!!

    http://i42.tinypic.com/wgvjev.jpg

    =)

  • i got one too =)))))

    i love you "F5" hahahaha

    • Refresh would help rather than wait??

      • No, refreshing is no good.
Just refresh once at 12. Exactly 12.

        • Oh cooni, you should have share this tip earlier, so that I can have greater chance of getting one of the Galaxy Tabs.

        • You got plenty of items!

  • mmmm I new the cycle would have this today…so need to fill out credit card details hey?
    Oh well next cycle?
Are those that are successful on CABLE?

    • ADSL

      • I am using ADSL 2+ and everyday I went to this site.
It looks like I am using 56K …………

        • I used my dialup 28.8k modem last time to get the movie tickets and that worked! HA :P

  • -1

At least I didnt get 28 movie tickets

    • +2

      So bitter

      • -3

        hehe

Third comment about your camera and second picture of it. Congrats, Turd.

  • So was this the link you were supposed to click on: https://connect.aefactory.com.au/

It's gold class tickets again tomorrow which I'm not interested in.

    • No, that link will get you nowhere.
Session details need to be passed to get the transaction.
      Only the main page now

  • CABLE

  • +4

if they got rid of that "SOLD OUT" symbol, i would have taken it to Officeworks for a price match lol

    • Smart Idea…

      • +1

Go there at 12:00 next time (no sold out sign)> Print Screen > Price match
I doubt they will double check the site again.

        • They will almost certainly check to see whether there is still stock, which is in their T&C.

    • +2

"better luck next time". So even AMEX Connect admit that it is a "lottery".

  • +2

I would love to see you pricematch this haha

  • How early before the sale starts is the item actually revealed? Is it possible to know in advance what the sale item will be so you can "camp" it? Or is it available for purchase the moment it is revealed? Do you get to know what item will be for sale before 12:00?

I waited all month for this deal to return. :(

    • The deals are on at 12:00:00:00000000000000 AEST

  • +3

This was sold out at 12.04pm. Posting it on OzBargain at 12.15pm is about as useful as tits on a bull.

    • +1

But I posted it at 12:00

      • +1

Who thinks cooni works for Amex?

      • cooni, you mean you posted this post with your right hand and refreshed the page and managed to get the tab with your left hand at the same time12.00??? How smart and quick u are! I have never gotten one popular deal with both of my hands from 11.50 to 12.10! You are SUPERMAN! No, he will never say he works for Amex cause he works for nobody. He is SUPERMAN!

        • I had OzBargain open in one tab with the post half-written (because I knew it would be the Galaxy Tab) and amexconnect.com.au open in the other.
My pages don't load any quicker than anyone else's… Time taken to load is plenty to edit the URL and post!

    • no, it was sold out at 12:02!

  • +3

I smell a scam! Just wanting people to access their site for commercial purposes.
