    • A bit more expensive model

    • Costco requires membership.
Same price at JB with free delivery and you can take advantage of things like ShopBacks Gift Cards with % cash back to save even more.

Also just saw VideoPro now offering $3880 with free delivery.

    https://www.videopro.com.au/p-14516-sony-85-kd85x85j-bravia-…

    • How are you getting free delivery?

      Shows $195 to Sydney.

    • Never seen that before, a reply for a Hisense TV with a Sony TV…. also definitely has delivery fee ($195 to VIC)

  • Smooth motion 100….why not 1027384847 ..seems equally meaningful?

    • Because that would be one HELL of a lot of interlacing.
At 50hz PAL, 100hz interlacing is (potentially) helpful.
Personally, I hate it, but it's there if it's your flavour.

      • Didn't know there were still people watching regular TV. The only way to get 50fps broadcast

          There are a lot.
Especially things like friday night football.

Now we have so many channels, there's usually something good on.

Not many other places to watch gameshows either.

Even the ads are more relevant to my local shops, than ones forced onto you by ondemand channels.

Horses for courses; might not suit you, but suits plenty :)

Recently bought a 75" TV, unpacked it, demo'd it, AND returned it.
It was a 5m deep room.

It was an AMAZING size for watching a movie, or a series, truly another experience.

But the second you turned on TV, the jarring brightness changes among news stories, ads, and even just things like the brightness between the 'question board' and the humans on quiz shows was truly painful.

I'm a close sitter, I love the 3rd-5th row of the cinema, and as I said, for a movie experience, this would be breathtaking.
But if you're planning to use it as a TV, rather than a monitor for whatever smart device you own, be warned, above 65" is REALLY a lot of light….
And specifically hisense do not have a standalone 'backlight' option to try and dull it, without affecting your colour reproduction.

    Movies though? Go for gold!
