        • For anyone else, if this happens then it's Westpac placing a block on the card.
I don't know what the point of the stupid digital card is meant to be if you get a block put upon you when you try to use it!!!

  • If I have had the same low rate mastercard more than a year ago, does that still make me ineligible?

    • +1

Did you close it more than 12 months ago? If you did, then you are eligible.

Existing Westpac customers who currently hold a Low Rate or Lite credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer.

  • Did people get their 400 credit in their first statement after hitting the minimum spend?

    • Yep, I got my $400 credit already

  • Can we buy coles or woolies giftcard? I am left with $500

      Yes

  • Anyone knows who to contact if cashback not received?

Thanks mate, that was really insightful.

        • I tried contacting westpac livechat, and they told me to wait 60 days from when I hit the spend. I hit the spend when on the 1st statement, but I think some of my spend was not elligible (rego).

@eastmeetswests: This is not very encouraging to hear, this could potentially mean I will not get my 400 :(

@chintu123: I've continued using my card until I see the 400 credit hit my account. Hoping it isn't the next statement as I want to continue churning, but it is what it is.

I did check TandC's of the elligible spend and I think that's the only reason why I haven't hit the spending requirements…

@eastmeetswests: I am same boat as you.

@chintu123: I don't know who is downvoting you, but will share this info in the hope of helping others :).

I've checked with westpac live chat, who said I have met the eligible spend and I am eligible for this offer and that it should take another 60 days from hitting the 4k amount.

I've read some people in this post received it in 1 week, others about a month? I will update when I receive it.

Who else do you think you should contact? Their home loans department?

          • -1

@OzBrogains: imo without your guidance I might have unfortunately, so thanks for that

@chintu123: Wouldn't put it past you if you're asking those types of questions :-)

  • how long does it take to get approval or rejection? I got a phone call confirming my finance a week ago and now haven't heard anything since.

    • I'd follow up with them. I had to resubmit some documents and the lady on the phone was able to approve me on the spot once she verified my documents.

  • Applied. Fingers crossed.

    • Received my card today. I had one call from Westpac as I forgot to add my Overdraw account. I didn’t have to attend a branch for an ID check.

Wanted to share my experience with this CC.

    • Application
Applied early Dec '21 and it took about a week to get my application approved (was only prolonged due to them asking for extra documents). Took another week to get the card delivered - just in time! Got the card activated, set the pin etc. through mobile apps.

    • Cashback
I spent over 4k on Boxing day and the following day. Some of the transactions included gift cards from Shopback (to get extra cashback lol) in case you are wondering if GC is eligible. And finally got the $400 cashback around 10 days! I hadn't even made any payment at that point which was really good.

My Experience also with this card:
Applied early Dec, got approved in 5 days (Had issues with some of my documents) and I had to call on a Saturday to track my application. I got approved on the phone. Got digital card on the 1st business (Monday)

Hit minimum spend on 31st Dec (combination of purchases, SNIP). Received first statement in mid January, no $400 cashback.
Received my Cashback today 8th Feb in my account.
