  • What's the cloud recording situation with these?

  • Hi, it doesn't support cloud. There is a built-in HDD for recording.

    • Are recordings stored on the DVR accessible from a phone app?

      • +1

Hi, videos can be stored in the NVR or FTP server. You can access the videos from the Reolink App.

      • iPhone app is very good.

  • Can you connect this to Google Nest Hub Smart Home Controller?

  • Sorry you can't

    • Does the NVR not plug into the wifi?

      • No, but it comes with 1x 1m Network Cable to connect to a router

  • Any deal on RLK8-510B4-A or any of your "smart" system? Thank you!

        • I never knew this! Thanks

  • Their app has improved alot. I am using this system for nearly a year now, and quite happy with all aspects. Only thing they should add is the Google /Alexa integration. Also NVR with wifi would make it a great system.

I moved away from Nest and now use Reolink to monitor my house except the doorbell (I use Google. Doorbell) so far I am pretty happy with Reolink. The hardware design quality is inferior to Google Nest but I just don’t like paying anyone to store my video. I use RLC-822A and it supports Google Assistant. I also use the Reolink Duo POE and so far I am happy with the video quality and the wide angle which Google Nest is lacking. With the NVR now I can record 24x7 and store it locally. The app os pretty good, not perfect but good enough for me.

    • G'day Bartoq

May I ask what network cables you used for the install?

The original cables or better ones? (I have seen some installs where they recommend using better cables) Thanks Cat 6 solid copper?
A website where you got them would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks

The most annoying thing for me is not being able to access it by web because of the flash EOL and the firmware hasn't been updated
