Not sure if this is targeted or whether everyone gets this offer, but I discovered this by accident this evening.

If you are an existing Kindle Unlimited subscriber through Amazon and cancel your Kindle Unlimited subscription, Amazon will offer you to continue your subscription for $0.99 for the next 3 months, instead of the regular $13.99 per month ($41.97 for the 3 months).

I have only been subscribed to Kindle Unlimited for 5 months (first 3 months were free with purchase of the Kindle), but the majority of ebooks that my partner reads on the kindle are freebies, so we chose to unsubscribe. As soon as we did, we were offered the $0.99 deal.

Note that payments will restart at the regular $13.99 rate after the 3 months, so just remember to cancel before then.

    We used the free 3 months then chose to subscribe for 2 months as there were a few books my partner was reading, then cancelled the sub after the 2 months and got the offer, but you could possibly activate the free 3 months, then just before the first payment (4th month), cancel and see if it offers it to you.

  I've been a member since august, had the 3 months free too. Just went to cancel and was offered $13.99 for a 3 month period, then reverts to $13.99pm.

  What books are there ? I see only bad ones like how to stop procrastinating etc not quality fiction

    If you like fantasy outside the Harry Potter books, i would recommend the Kingfountain series (start with The Queen's Poisoner) by Jeff Wheeler. The guy has heaps of books in the world he created often releasing a few books a year and it actually is all quality.

    If you want Sci-Fi/Thriller i would recomment starting with Split Second by Douglas E Richards. But yes you are correct at hinting at the quality of the books on the services, the vast majority of them are forgetable.
