Photo Uploads - Is It Possible?

Hi all,

Just wondering if it's possible to add photos to a post? While discussing if a freebie was still active, I tried adding a couple of photos via HTML which didn't work as I uploaded my screenshots to a image hosting website.

Cheers,

Chmmr.

    • Thanks Hybroid. One other question, any way to embed the images in a reply (as in this comment) or would I just have to use hyperlinks?

The pictures you mean? No direct way to do it, just upload them there, right click and copy link and paste it in the comment.

        • Bugger. Thanks mate.

inline image embedding is normally possible in markdown syntax, but that feature is currently disabled. You can still use inline URL's and link to the image file.

The closest you could do is ASCII-art, which while it is do-able, its use is frowned upon by the mods. Best to upload a file and link to it.

The mods disabled embedded images to help fellow ozbargainers save mobile data.

The only way to embed images is to be a chosen one.

That a markdown table not an embedded image.

I believe scotty and neil can embed images.

      • thanks heaps for your response ๐Ÿ‘

it looks like I need to be coding nerd to insert below table inside a comment.. or is there a less tedious "copy and past" method? appreciate if you could clarify

          • Highlight & Copy the table
          • Paste to Excel or Googe Sheets (or similar spreadsheet program)
          • Copy from Excel or Google Sheets.
          • Paste into Markdown Tables
          • Copy markdown from that site and paste into wherever on OzBargain.
    • Itโ€™s not possible, someone only asked that last week. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/669732
