  • Mention it's only the white one, black is still a lame deal ^.-

    • just did

  • Is this deal real? I have to get one.
For this price, is it come from hongkong?

    • The item's page states that it is a 'Direct Shipping Offer'. That means it comes from overseas direct to the customer.

  • Not bad, though I'm after 32GB. Does anyone know if iOS devices can read files bigger than 4GB? I have that problem with Android where the SD card has to be formatted FAT32, which has file size limitations. If I want to watch a 720p or 1080p movie on it, the file would be too big for FAT32.

    Is iOS also FAT32?

    • Not sure what the file system is, I assume it is HFS+, the same as ipod. I have a 5.5 Gig 720p mkv on my iPad 3 and it plays fine. 1080p seems to be a little choppy from the files I've seen

  • Gud prices. But is the new iPad that bad?

    • Its better than ipad 2, faster, high res then any other tablet on market, only downside is that its a different band 4g then telstra supports, but give it time and optus or vodafone will support it

      • What I am warrying about is only the LED screen now, it has an uneven color when you show a white full screen picuture.

it's not THAT BAD….it's just not THAT GOOD compare to ipad2. Plus the weird NEW name for it…..but good for the first time apple ipad buyers.

They are streamlining the name for the iPads. It's like how you refer to the iPod Nano as just the Nano, not iPod Nano 7th Gen.

        • +1

I wonder what their next iPad will be called.. The "The even newer iPad"?

It will be weird when even after ipad 4 and ipad 5 are out for people to still refer to ipad 3 as "The new ipad". Just a dumb name.

"It will be weird when even after ipad 4 and ipad 5 are out for people to still refer to ipad 3 as "The new ipad". Just a dumb name."

How are people still stuck on this "the new iPad" phrase… how about the new "iPad"?

im not posting this from my even newest newer newish once-new no-long-new macbook….. its just macbook… just like the iMac, iPod etc etc etc…
don't be surprised or confused when they do the same thing to the new model iPhone later this year (I'm guessing, but its a likely outcome)…

        • I don't choose to call it that. "The new iPad" is Apple's official name for it. What would Apple themself refer to this generation's iPad as when it gets replaced by the next and the one after? It doesn't make sense long term.

There has to be something to call it to distinguish itself from other generations, whether it be a model number on the barcode, SKU, or the numberal at the end. It just baffles me that they called it "the new iPad"… which makes sense only until it's no longer new. If they just called it the new "iPad" then the next generation's one will have the same name and you wouldn't be able to distinguish them in a conversation. And also, one of them will no longer be new and the name wouldn't make sense anymore.

" If they just called it the new "iPad" then the next generation's one will have the same name and you wouldn't be able to distinguish them in a conversation. "

          what are you talking about?
how do they differentiate new iMacs, MacBooks or iPods then?

and please show me a single apple article where it is called "the new iPad" rather than just "iPad"

the phrase 'the new' is not a complex piece of the english language, so I'm confused how any 'non-troll' individual can't understand it…
          ..eg
'Fred, the new woolworths just opened up the road'
'Jim, are they the new nikes you were talking about buying?'
'Bill, did you see the new Family Guy episode last night?'

its not like there are now 'the new woolworths' stores, 'the new nike' shoes or some tv show called 'the new Family Guy'

"and please show me a single apple article where it is called "the new iPad" rather than just "iPad""

I take it you haven't visited Apple's official website in the past month?

They refer to it as "The new iPad" everywhere it is referred to. I haven't seen it referred to as iPad on its own without "The new" in front of it.

        As for articles by apple:

        http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/03/19New-iPad-Tops-Thre…
        http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/03/07Apple-Launches-New…

Once again, not a single instance in either press release is this model of iPad referred to without "the new" in front of it.

I can't tell if you're trolling, or genuinely ignorant about it.
