That’s ~$500 more for 8GB of extra ram and 256GB of extra storage and M3. Of course the difference is lesser if you’ve paid via gc

@azzaisawesome: Depends on the staff. Sometimes Officeworks also matches exactly the same price (say $1000 vs $1000 then $995), sometimes they don't because the competitor isn't $0.01 above them.

I went from M2 to M4 and can’t tell the difference
Literally the only reason I want to get an M3 or above is for the AV1 codec (for geforce now streaming).
Even my M1 is still such a beast.

I would prefer brand new M2 over a "renewed" M3.
Maybe if you're buying a laptop for the aesthetic rather than the utility. Otherwise it's insane to pick a new 8GB M2 over a 16GB M3 with a scuffed chassis. The latter would be useful for at least least two more years, and you'd get a lot more for it on Marketplace sometime down the road, so holistically it's better AND cheaper. Other than warranty, what's the objective downside?

Went to ask about the M4, sales said it actually has the same hardware as the M2/M3, apart from the SoC of course. Mate was solid for the advice.
