Booking Period : 2 April 2012 - 5 April 2012
Travel Period : 26 June 2012 - 30 September 2012

promotion to all

a quick check on http://airasiaplus.com/ website, the flight from sydney to KL does have promotion as low as AUD$199 one way, and use this promotion for return flight.
But keep in mind all these rates are not including taxes and fees (which is the main problem of AirAsia sale fare)

  • Not so cheap after adding Taxes & Fees! Really need to include those costs in title!!!
Almost same flight dates as $88 Scoot deal to Singapore!
    Usually dearer Syd-KL.
    Cheapest Syd-KL $386/ KL-Syd $284 in July for non-member incl taxes etc

You need a BIG visa card to get deal and they are only available to Malaysian Address holders.

      no it's for all,
but yes i've changed the title so as not to confuse people with the BIG card deal

    • A $3 cost to save $100 is not a good deal????
Come off the neg - do a bit of research first! You do not need the VISA card.
Its a loyalty program (frequent flier) with a 10.00 MYR ($3) fee.
Takes a few minutes to join - I just did. Should have done this ages ago.
You earn points on every flight - 1 per 2 MYR (63c) to redeem on other flights

      • The Big loyalty program is almost impossible to redeem anything decent without an attached visa card. When I checked the points required for a flight, I simply gave up :)

For KL to Mel in Nov (low season).

        Total BIGGIES 39,500 BIGGIES
        Total Cash 174.00 MYR

Roughly 79000MYR spend to earn those biggies.

        • True - but maybe good to book cheap flights deals like this.
All frequent flier programs depend on your use & spending habits. Many are just not worth it. But points can be handy when you get to KL for short flights - but you still have to pay Taxes/Fees.
Note: points are earnt on fare price before Taxes/Fees.
Great if you are a Malaysian & have the Visa card.

        Sorry my bad

  • i bought an imac using the big loyalty program, and because the rate is according to Ringgit Malaysia compared to virgin using australian dollar, i've received a whopping 7,000 points!very useful for your next trip! but took 3 months to get approved!

It's probably easier to use this link to see fares in AUD that are inclusive of taxes.
