8Bitdo SN30 Pro Bluetooth GamePad Controller (G Classic Edition) $57 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ EB Games

360

Found this whilst looking for retropie controllers to set up a retro console for the kidlets, seems to be a good price, $79 elsewhere.

Also found the Pi400 for $109 plus $7 shipping or free CC at UMART:

The 8BitDo SN30 Pro G Classic is a retro controller with a full range of functions. Not to mention a proper D-pad. 8BitDo controllers are designed to be as versatile as possible with any modern device. • Really solid controller, I've had mine for a while now and been really happy with it.

I'd strongly recommend spending the additional $11 and get the 8BitDo Pro 2

      Get a switch controller then

      • Depends what you want it for. Having both I use my Pro 2 more.

      • Get something with less compatibility for other platforms? Now that's using your noodle

      • The 8BitDo is a lot more versatile. Back buttons, Adjustable deadzones, analog triggers, macros, turbo buttons, and more. But most importantly it has a functioning d-pad. It's also cheaper than the Pro Controller, which is a bonus.

    • It's that price at Amazon too atm, if anyone is interested.

Guess what, went to EB Games in District Docklands, and they have Pro 2 Classis edition for $57, while Black and Silver are actually $68.
Asked them if this is a price error, and no, it's not, so now it's time to buy otg cable and then I can play some classic games on my fire tv.

Been that price for a while , definitely get the pro 2 for extra comfort. So far happy with mine.

  • great controller and really good for on the go portable use.
I have only used mine with the switch, but they are also android compatible among other things, and 8bitdo sell an attachment to mount your phone to it for mobile gaming if you are that way inclined.

my only gripes with it are that it cannot wake switch from sleep, like most 3rd party controllers, and it is only comfortable for short periods for big hands, though i have a pro2 for long sessions.

Gee whiz 8bitdo have come a long way since selling tiny mobile Bluetooth controllers on pop up Chinese bargain sites like Zapals, to b&m EB stores. Well done.
