    The Good Guys 10% Cashback

There seem to be lots of exclusions… So buyer beware…

15% gift cards at the moment if you can find some. Can probably stash with cashback.

      • You may not be eligible for Cashback:

If a gift card is purchased or used as payment.

On the Cashrewards page for TGG.

        • Problem is new Ultimate card are Prepaid Credit Cards (it comes up as credit cards)

          • @Xantar: Do you have to convert it to a TGG gift card first?

            • @mangobango: No. They works like Credit Cards (enter in Credit cards area).

              • @Xantar: Hm, then it might work?

No harm in trying I suppose, worst case scenario you're still saving the 15%.

If it's put in the credit card section then I'd assume it would NOT count as a gift card.

                • @mangobango: Yup. Unless they can detect it, but then that mean they have to record down the credit card number. Is that illegal?

                  • @Xantar: Might flag as an ultimate card, but yeah I think it's specifically if you use a TGG gift card in the gift card field. Not sure the legalities of it though 😝

FWIW shopback are running the same promo, no cap, and also nothing about gift cards in the T's&C's (just says you can't get cashback if you buy a gift card).

                    • @mangobango: Gift cards are always $0 cashback. I think every store is like that.

              • @Xantar: How do you split payment then? Can’t buy any above $100?

          • +1

@Xantar: I would say it should work with Ultimate card (visa)
However only valid for purchases up to the max value of the gift card ($50 or $100)

Because TGG online purchase cannot split payments

        • Not sure if it is eligible or not

        • +1

          Hi mangobango,
Thanks for spotting this. The term has since been edited and fixed : )

          • @minita: Thanks minita!

So gift cards are a-ok, that's great news :)

          • @minita: Hi Minita, is paying via latitude pay eligible for cashback?

          • @minita: Hi Rep,

I just placed an online order for $99 through CR and TGG. but the order disappeared. No confirmation email in my inbox or TGG account order list

The TGG phone line always too busy . what should I do here?

will 10% cashback be honoured if my order magically appeared later?

    • Could you please put the link to the 15% discount? I searched but couldn't find it. Thank you.

  • Not as good as shop back?

    • they're only 3% afaik

      • +1

They have 10% cashback uncapped tonight

        • oh nice. I missed that.

  • By the way, if you pay by Latitude Pay. you get $20 off for 100 spend.

    • Would you happen to know if we can split payment with gift card and latitude pay?

      • +1

        Can’t split.

  • No minimum purchase?
I have a $20 conceige voucher. Can cashback stack with the voucher and 15% giftcard payment?

    • I am Interested to know as well.

For those of you who have one, Westpac credit cards also have a $50 cashback offer on $300+ spend. Not sure if stackable as I'm unsure how cash rewards works but I don't see why not?

    • +1

I always assume stacking cashback through cashback providers (e.g. Cashrewards, ShopBack, Reward Gateway) with a credit card statement offer is fine, unless the merchant has specifically called that out as an exclusion. However, it is highly unusual for a merchant to do that, and the only example I can think of is Dan Murphy’s; on the Reward Gateway platform, their terms state that you cannot stack their 3% cashback offer with any AMEX cashback offers.

      • +1

Yep, in my experience with Westpac, as long as you hit the spending conditions the cashback gets credited- nothing else matters

Did you receive that email? Is it in rewards section of app?

Can I redeem multiple gift cards in a single transaction? Is there a limit?

    • You can redeem a maximum of two TGG gift cards in a single transaction through the online store.

If you need to redeem more than two TGG gift cards in a single transaction through their online store, you can contact TGG customer service directly and they may be able to assist you, but then Cashrewards will not be able to track that purchase.

  • The Cashreward extra is good but the 10% after dark sale is the part that sucks. Many stuff excluded!

    • I'd thought Google nest hub is home appliances. Not included sadly…

  • Are 'Gaming Recharge Cards' e.g. 'Xbox Live Gold 12M 2019 (Download)' eligible for the cashback?

  • Annoying the oven i want to buy is 10% more expensive than everyone else making it standard pricing.
