        He dresses up, he sets up the 'production', he records the speech (probably has to practice it a few times to get the timing right)…. that all takes time.

        And he's doing it all for $10. IMO it IS a burden to him, because quite frankly there are probably more efficient ways to make $10.

          Alright so you seem clueless about how all this works so let me try to explain.

          He has these deals every month, if not more often. These deals are his business. If he was not doing these "specials" only the very few select morons would pay his "regular" price of $100. The outrageous "regular" price is what helps sell these at the "special" price. This is not a new formula and it's quite frankly amazing I'm having to explain this to someone on OzBargain, where people are supposed to be a little more savvy about this kind of thing than a random person off the street.

          As far as it being a burden or not, frankly it's again ridiculous that this would even be up for discussion. Outside of all of the above where we established that these are the bulk of his business or just the basic logic that tells you that nobody would be posting deals repeatedly that they don't have a net positive experience from, lets talk about your point about the videos themselves. It's not like he dresses up and does the production for each video. He does this promo, he gets a bunch of takers and then he pumps these out one after another. I'd be surprised if each takes him longer than 5 minutes. Even if we say they take 10 minutes with editing etc. At $10 a piece, that's not a bad business at all for something that takes very little effort and is basically all profit. And I'm not shitting on this part, good on him. I just dislike the dishonesty of him trying to paint the main driver of his business as a burden.

            @axel32: his "deals" are about as legit as the "free" things you get off infomercials when you pay the "one time low low price of….." - which they never tell you what the price is on TV - they just offer a free trial, its a ploy to get you to call them and they talk you into it.

            only for the deal to be advertised on TV non stop for weeks and then repeated again a few months later with more crap thrown in

            good example; "renovator ladder" with added crap thrown in "does it all drill bits", "renovator better grip" and if you call right now we will "double the offer"
