RIP, ordered a white one from Amazon US for $152.55. Although it was marked as shipped on December 3rd and haven't had a single tracking update since so fingers crossed I can cancel.

    • If its shipped, it would be impossible to cancel… unless if you request for a return.

      • Just realised Shopback has 10% cashback on Xbox.com giftcards which work on the Microsoft Store, would bring this down to $112.5 ($100 and $25 gift card), definitely returning the Amazon one…

        • can you definitely stack two cards?

          • @fraid knot: Yeah man, I've just ordered one using a $100 and $25 gift card without issues.

            • @matictac: Cheers! buying a $100 and $25 card now.

              • @fraid knot: No worries man, you just need to redeem them to your Microsoft account then Microsoft Account will appear as a payment method when you checkout. :)

                • @matictac: All done…been eyeing off this mouse for a while and this was to good to pass up.

    • I ordered one from them in the Black Friday deals and it arrived yesterday. Keep the faith!

      • Did yours have any tracking updates?

        • Nup, had none until the day of delivery

          • @Tiges98: Oh sick okay, I thought for sure something had gone wrong. Fingers crossed. :)

Using this mouse since the release date, totally recommend unless you have big hands. The rubber under your thumb will wear out quite fast and I know charging dock can just die on you. I've replaced this mouse in the past because of that, still best mouse I've ever owned.

    • That was going to be my question :). Looks like I'll be sticking with Deathadders

There is also the Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro as well:
Original price was AU$199.00, current price is AU$109.05

I personally have the Razer Viper Ultimate and it's the best mouse I've ever owned. Highly recommended. I also wonder about the Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro as they look very similar.

    • +1

$109 is normal for the V2 Pro, it's often below $100 on eBay and is also $109 on Amazon. I'd go with the Deathadder if you have a palm grip since the Viper is very short.

      • Good to know! I'll probably go with the V2 Pro once my Viper Ultimate goes kaput.

    • v2 pro is taller and better fit for palm grip users.

  • Not sure if comes with dock

I think this comes with dock, looking at the product page pictures shows docking?

    • It definitely does, haven't seen a version without a dock yet…

      • +1

Yes there is one selling without the dock on Amazon

      • Can get it directly from Razer without the dock for $249.95, which has me thinking there's a chance this doesn't come with a dock as MS original price is $249. Everyone else sells it for less with the dock so I don't know what to think.

        • ahh, that might be the catch then

          • @Filayq: Just checked the DA V2 Pro on Razer AU and that's $224.95, more than the original $199 DATApush3r posted above, so Razer AU is definitely overpriced. I'm thinking it does come with the dock, but there's a small niggling doubt in my mind.

            • +1

@TheContact: Worst comes to worst, MS has 30 days return options for unopened product.

Ain't cheap to game these days :/

    • Unfortunately not! I went into ebgames the other day and saw the game Returnal was $125… WTF? I remember when I use to think $50 was insane for a game.

    • +1

It's cheaper than ever, you can buy lower spec gaming mice for like 10 bucks.

Imagine going back a decade or two and telling yourself you could buy a laser accurate, wireless, no lag mouse that charges itself through its mousepad while you game, all for well under a day's wages. Madness.

      • +1

I paid $60 for an I/O card so I had a comm port for a mouse at one point.

  • +1

Ouch, paid $200 for mine 6months ago. Very happy with it.
    I have smallish hands.

  • Isn't this literally cheaper on Amazon?

    • +1

      Yes at this time

    • +4

I think the one on Amazon is without a dock, looking at Microsoft eBay page they only sell this with the dock so I'm assuming this pricing is including the dock? Still unsure though, otherwise I would jump at this price.

Edit: Confirmed with chat agent that this pricing includes the dock.

  • Just to clarify but this doesn't connect with Bluetooth at all?

Mostly will need for portability and rather not take up a USB port on my laptop for general use.

Gaming mouse probably overkill for me anyway since I game with a controller

    • No bluetooth on any low latency gaming mice.

For work purposes, just pick up the Logitech MX master or MX anywhere.

      • +1

Deathadder V2 Pro has a Bluetooth mode, I'm sure all the Razer X Hyperspeed ones do as well.

Kone Pro Air sitting on my desk now has a Bluetooth mode switch too.

        • True. Orichi v2 also has the bt mode. And many mx master owners don’t really like to use max master because of the weight; myself included. Mx anywhere could be a better option for those who don’t mind a smallish mouse.

          • @aec: Yes, wish they made a larger MX Anywhere.

            • @Rodo: Yup - I have a Naga pro - got it because its got Bluetooth mode. The Viper and Basilisk ultimate don't.

  • Can I use this dock to charge death adder v2 pro?

    • Believe so, I use mine with the basilisk ultimate and v2 pro

  • Anyone with experience with this and a G Pro Wireless? Have the G Pro but want to know if this feels better.

    • ehhhh i dont but if u have a gpw alr i prob wouldnt waste money trying this unless your unhappy with gpw shape.

    • g pro wireless is better fit if you just want a smidge more height on the mouse. Logitech g pro has slightly more contact between your palm and hand. If you use fingertip grip (almost no contact with mouse in palm, mainly fingertips), the viper wll be better

Best wireless gaming mouse by far. Much better than Logitech G Pro which failed on me twice!

    • Good to know as I just ordered one. As much as I love the G Pro the middle click is failing and takes a couple tries before it registers these days which turns me off buying the Superlight version so keen to give the Razer a try.

      • Same thing happened to mine after 2 months, back to amazon for a refund….

  • Great mouse but had issues with the dock (eventually wouldn't charge properly) so swapped it out for the basilisk ultimate

    • +1

Did you try cleaning the connection points with isopropyl and a q-tip?

      • Nope, maybe that would have helped

      • Yeah, lint can build up in the contact points. cleaning often usually fixes it

  • Does it come with an infinite wheel? If not, any recommendations for a “gaming” mouth with an infinite wheel pls?

    • +1

The G502 Hero and G502 Lightspeed do, but I personally wouldn't buy them after a bad double clicking experience with the G703.

      • Thank you. I may just use my mx master 3 and orichi v2

    • I said this with a Mike Tyson voice.

  • How would this go for a home-office mouse with no gaming? I've been looking for an ambidextrous mouse (that I can use with both left and right hands - I am left handed but often switch hands) and there are vey few of these that can be used with palm grip for medium-large hands. Have been considering the Logitech g pro wireless but not sure if that is the way to go.

    • +1

would be great, turn down the lights and polling frequency (how often the wire sends signals back to the computer) to about 500 and the battery should last you longer periods of time.

    • +1

I use the wired Viper left handed for general office tasks as well as gaming and it's been great!

At this price for the wireless version I couldn't say no!

  • how is this compare to G903??

  • Worse battery life but you can reserve the battery by turn the light off

  • viper ultimate has scuffed rubber sides which will wear down overtime, side buttons on the right side so you cant fingertip the mouse without clicking them, the side buttons dont stick out of the mouse and are indented so its hard to click them. and 74g today really isnt super light but it is light

Although i wont lie, its a nice shape similar to the FK, and its got good qc
Id much rather check out an orochi v2 for cheaper or defo the superlight if its in the budget
