  • I was keen for this until I remembered DoorDash doesn't seem to deliver more than 4km out of the city.
    Maybe it's a Tassie thing.

    • +1

Actually, there might be something to this, I live within about 2km from two stores, yet I'm 'too far away'

      WTH?

      • +1

try to get the link from the store and type your address later that way you can actually check if the store is available in your area or not.

    • +1

Same here. I'm only 643km shy of getting delivery. Surely they could do a tad better.

  • +2

Doordash always have some special discount. Preferred over Uber Eats for cost efficiency. 50% other stores will be better.

    • found store prices higher than in-store tho.
      not sure abt uber etc

      • Both DoorDash and UberEats have higher product prices, in my experience.
Cost-wise, the trend I have noticed is that in-store is cheapest, online ordering from the store has a slight bump up, and third party online orders (DoorDash, UberEats, Menulog, Deliveroo, Easi, etc.) have a much more noticeable bump up in pricing.
        YMMV.

  • 50offau2 50% off your first 2 orders :)

    • I guess only for new users.

    • +1

      No longer works

      • +3

        I believe GullibleAussie21 still works.

      • I just used it and got a $25 discount

  • Does anyone know what happened to DD GC on SB?

    • SB GC often sell out but then reappear after 1-2 days. I assume that Shopback has to purchase more allocations each time it sells out.

      • Hopefully they bring it back soon.

  • +5

Banner says up to $25 but applied promo code and payment screen indicates up to $15 only.

Banner says up to $25 but applied promo code and payment screen indicates up to $15 only.

I got this as well. Ordered elsewhere!

I also note the prices have skyrocketed for HJ.

Ordered a couple days ago, and they listed the medium family meal at $36. I knew this was wrong, as menulog had the small for $40. Ordered, got the small, and not the upgraded burger I added. Complained and scored a $25 credit, so happy with that!

      • HJ is bad with these delivery orders. Got my order wrong twice. Called up to complain and got $20 vouchers each time too.

        • I hadn't ordered from them for ages because they weren't on DoorDash, but they were usually pretty good from Menulog.

They ALL forget the straws more often than not, though. I ended up buying a pack of steel reusable straws.

          • @photonbuddy: I thought HJ got rid of straws

            • +1

@vt: Don't know. Maccas switched to paper straws, and then proceeded to individually wrap them, making more waste!

        • They messed up my order. They left out a Spicy Jack's Fried Chicken burger. I said the burger was missing via the Doordash website and they only gave me $11.07 in credit. That's not enough to order the missing burger and get it delivered. Very disappointed.

          • @donm: I chatted with Doordash and they're giving me extra credits. Doordash have redeemed their reputation with me. Hungry Jack's not so much.

  • Ordered some HJ's last night with this discount. Jack fried chicken burgers, way overcooked and dry. Ended up getting a full refund.

    • Damn bro I complained about no sauce and squashed burgers

      They said tough luck

      • I barely complained. Started the chat and said how it was overcooked and dry, then the chat guy processed a refund.

        • +1

u scored the guy at the end of his shift and had one consequnce-free refund coupon left, lucky!

      • +2

they gave me the wrong order…. twice, i gave up after the second order but it was still pretty good

  • +5

I got this other day but ordered 3 burgers and took a bite of each

Felt remorse after….I let the discount get the better of me.

Also received no sauce for my nuggets. Can you believe?#firstworldproblems

    • Open the refrigerator and you might find some sauce bottles. #firstworldproblems can be solved that way ;)

    • +1

lucky if didn't give you food poisoning - otherwise you'd have to do a DunnyDash

  • +4

    Only gives $15 off :(

  • +1

Ordered Hungry Jack's twice with this already, can't complain. Everything tasted good to me.

    • U try nugget?

      • Yeah, the nuggets somehow taste better after you leave it out for a bit lol

        • +3

          Bacteria 🤤

  • +2

$15 off only in app, still a rip even with the full $25 off, BS Inflated prices.

    • so they inflated the pricing by more than 50%? mind backing up your claim?

      • +2

if you factor in the delivery and extra doordash fees it sounds about right

        • i get the $3 platform fee is quite dodgy but how is $6 delivery fee from a delivery company equating to inflating the price?

          • +18

@Creamsoda: All items are significantly higher than buying in store.
If the prices were the same I'd be happy with paying a $10 delivery charge.

Inflated pricing on all items + Delivery + an extra Surcharge with some delivery services, it's a massive scam.

You might break even with a big discount like this or save a few bucks, personally not worth it for me anymore.

            • @illz: This sums it up perfectly. Its nothing but disgusting greed. Tax on using the app + delivery charge + tax on each item ordered. Its getting a bit much

  • +3

I tried to avoid fast food with delivery when they arrive always soggy and cold

    • I always do pick up for fast food .sometimes the delivery takes half and hour and i could imagine how soogy and cold it will be when it arrived.

  • +1

    Lol trying the chat…

I am #843 in line to be spoken to woohoo

  • +6

Still can't beat the free birthday whopper. I was born once a week. Some were born once a day.

    • +3

Coincidentally you physically aged 4 years in a month from eating HJ

  • $5.99 delivery + $3.00 "fees" for HJs 270m from my front door, lol

    • Yeah shame they don't offer pickup for them in doordash

      • +1

Yeah shame they don't offer pickup for them in doordash

I don't get why you'd use one of these food delivery companies, pay the jacked prices, and then go there and pick-up your order …

  • -1

    is phone fine?

  • Yeah Junk Food Day again :)

  • Does anyone receive Hungry Jack's emails twice?

I received the same email to the same email address at 11:31am and then again at 11:35am this morning?

This happens each time HJ's send me an email.

  • +5

The advertisement says limit $25 - So I just put my order in and showed them the screenshot, they issued a $10 refund.

    • +1

      Ozbargain way

  • +2

Just for thought, I ordered the day or so before this promotion went live then again during the promotion and noticed they jacked the prices up quite a bit at my local store for the bigger family meals as soon as the promo went up. An example is the Family Bundle which was $37 ($27 in store) from memory, and is now $46. Not really saving as much.

    • +1

      Jacks gonna jack.

  • +1

so in other words it's just - $15 off $30+ orders - what a convoluted way to market this one HJ/doordash lol

    • +1

Exactly. Doordash have always come across as sneaky cunning and what more their customer service is the worst when complained about it

  • Can't actually get this to work. Oh well, time to be a new customer :)

    • Referrals working for you?

      • Yeah, with the necessary new things of course :)

  • +1

Literally once with the delivery and fees… It's almost the same price as listed… It's a no from me

    • Game changer for this deal is those loaded with 20% off gift cards :)

  • $30+ orders and 5 delivery + fees. So your spending minimum 20+ for shitty junk calories nice

  • +2

Lol considering the prices are a good deal higher and then there's delivery it doesn't seem to end up a good deal with a Max of $15 off..

  • +2

lol the prices are insane! the family bundle is $44!! $27 is price of usual HJ voucher…

    • -3

I thought common sense was to order as close to just over $30 as possible .
Back to kinder garden mathematics m8 :)

      • Common sense would be to order the meal deals as they are better value, back to ozbargain 101 m8 :)

  • Doordash recently upped their delivery and platform fees to way above deliveroo and uber eats. It's essentially a $6 discount if you order $30 of food. Not worth it imo.

  • I don't know the usual prices for HJ's, can anyone please tell me the best value use of this code?

        1c tip wtf?

  • Site is dead right now. 406 Not Acceptable nginx

  • Also minimum is $20 spend

  • Wow those door dash prices normally.

If I bought Double grill masters Angus meal $20.45, plus $1 for large. + $5 delivery. $26.45 for a sub par mc-turd meal.

Lucky I don't eat this crap food.

    • It bloody tasted great and gave me free gas arting heating for the day :)
One of the secrets is pay the 80c more for the onion rings hehe .

      • +1

Noticed the prices for all the extras. Terrible value

I like onion rings to be fair. Maybe the gas came from those.

  • 1hr 27. Still waiting

    • 7 mins away. Now 33 mins away

      • Now 44mins away offered $15.00 in credits

        • Food arrived hr 58 late got 100% credit back

  • Doordash delivery is terrible in some area. Always chat to support if your order is late they will give refund back to you :)

  • Applied doorpass = free delivery.

    20.50 delivered normal
    Half price 10.25
Paid with door dash gift card that was 20% cash back
    About $8 delivered.

  • Got this deal last night. Ordered a meal deal to meet the minimum spend to get 50% off capped at $25. In typical fashion, only received 1 bag with no drinks. Submitted a request and got a credit equal to the entire meal. For the minor inconvenience, I look forward to another highly subsidised meal.

  • email said "Order as many times as you like by Sunday 19 December, 2021." but I can not have discount after one order.

  • I reckon they cook the order when recieved and then 45minutes later its picked up. Stone Cold Steve Austin….no straw(s) missing coke (who cares got soda stream with 6kg C02) received $19 credit ..off a $22 order (smoky BBQ meal x2 and onions rings)…will order agin for $3 :) Winning
Edit: Deal doesnt exist after using once only :(

    • Edit: Deal doesnt exist after using once only :(

Bloody shame I would have done another round and couldn't be bother doing it on another account .

  • I am getting $15 max discount

  • Bacon Deluxeâ„¢ Meal $15.25 (plus delivery)
I stopped right there. That's double what I usually pay.
No real bargain at DoorDash prices. I'm better off using HJ app deals. ($7 Bacon Delux meal in app at the moment)

    • I could compare $1 small chips as $9 delivered as well lol :)

Point is some things of value are in there especially if using 20% off cards .

      • I'm sure there are people doing isolation who are very happy to see this deal.
…and using 20% off cards with the deal I guess makes the "bargain" difference. :)

  • spent $59.95 on Burger Bundle Small. Got $15 off, but then deliver charge, and fee.

So we ended up paying nearly $57. Not worth it at all!

(my adult daughter did this, not me. yet I feel stupid!)

  • deal not showing up anymore. has it all been redeemed?

    • can only get discount once per doordash account , cheating!
