  Would check how Cashrewards & shopback offers compare at time of booking, better getting real cash back than 20,000 fairly useless telstra points

    The general conversion rate of Telstra Plus points is 2500 points = $10, so this is 'worth' $80. If Telstra Plus has stuff you want, it could be worth it (but I'd probably prefer cash in hand as a general rule)…

    This is stay-based, so sounds like even a 1 night stay at a $15 hostel will get you the full points, no brainer in that case

  Question is do you prefer 20k Telstra plus points or cashback via CR/SB which usually have decent cashback rates for booking.com. I guess it'll come down to what the current cashback rate is and what you are looking to buy with your Telstra points at the end of the day, is there a reference price for Telstra Plus points? Currently 5% @CashRewards & 14% @ShopBack fyi.

  be careful with Telstra points, I have 40Ks worth that is locked, because of an unfixable (5 months now) technical error with my account. Currently have raised the issue with the TIO, its very painful and not worth the effort in regards to being a bargain.

        Booked 5 x 1n @YHA in Noosa $183
        Shows over 100k pts in bookings. Took screenshots.
        Requested all nights in same room - done.
        But no iPad😉

        If checkout on 1/3 - no bonus points.
        T&C state multiple bookings allowed.

  Completed stay 2 and a half weeks ago. No points were added. Anyone else has this? Do we contact telstra or booking.com?

    Same thing with me, was a massive mess around. They would not credit one stay even though it was all booked in the same process. Eventually got 2/3 stays (40k of points).

      What was the reason one of the stays was rejected eg was it a consecutive night at the same hotel, for example?

        They stated it wasn't done through telstra plus as they couldn't see points allocated to the booking. I made the bookings all at the same time for the same place. As mentioned 2 of 3 received it. This was the first one of the three. They haven't ruled it out if I can get booking.com to say it is through telstra but booking hasn't been useful so I reckon it's not going to happen.
