Pixelmator Photo 2.0 is out today, and now brings the full macOS experience to iPhone & iPad for the first time.

  I have Pixelmator Photo on the iPad but it's not showing up as free when I click on $5.99. Then it's asking me to pay via Apple Pay.

    You need to complete the checkout and it will pop up saying you get free upgrades due to previous purchase, as per OP's comments…

      Sorry I was confused. I thought "initiating Apple Pay" meant the little pop up once you click the price.

    What do you own?
    If you have “Pixelmator Photo” (i.e. Lightroom equivalent) there is a free upgrade.
    If you have “Pixelmator” (i.e. Photoshop equivalent) then you have to pay $5.99

    When I double clicked the powerbutton to purchase (in the app store), it told me I had previously purchased and it was free.. up till that point it said $5.99

  I have Pixelmator Photo on iPad. It looks like it's the same app now available on iPhone but on my iPhone it says $5.99. So I need to confirm to pay $5.99 before it tells me I get it for free? That's not a great system.

  EDIT: But it worked. Thanks. I wonder how many other apps out there are like this but I've not installed because a price tag was showing.

  Pixelmator Pro on Mac has really helped me with some work projects and is great value, so I’ll give this a try!
