This should be normal price considering the size.

Someone should ask them if there is any possibility they will make burgers the same size as the originals were in the new original store…

    • +5

Maybe they should be offering customers its menu items at 1970s sizes too

No way coffee was $2 in 1970's, more like 50c

  • Didn't McCafe first open in 1993?

      When did McDonald's start McCafe?
      1993
The world's first McCafé opened in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1993. McCafé coffees including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas were added to the U.S. national menu in 2009, and quickly expanded to include blended ice frappés and smoothies, triple-thick shakes as well as limited-time seasonal offerings.

They gonna make those hamburgers in their original 1970's size, too?

    • +3

Yeah, in the old-style styrofoam containers that actually kept the food hot (also probably never broke down)

      • +2

        also probably never broke down

The styrofoam containers, the burgers, or both?

You know what I'm gonna do?
I'm gonna get myself a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado convertible
Hot pink with whale skin hubcaps
        And all leather cow interior
And big brown baby seal eyes for head lights (Yeah)
And I'm gonna drive in that baby at 115 miles per hour
        Gettin' one mile per gallon
Sucking down Quarter Pounder cheeseburgers from McDonald's
In the old fashioned non-biodegradable styrofoam containers
And when I'm done sucking down those greaseball burgers
I'm gonna wipe my mouth with the American flag
And then I'm gonna toss the styrofoam containers right out the side
And there ain't a goddamn thing anybody can do about it
You know why? Because we've got the bomb, that's why

Someone needs to get an actual photo live on scene of how tiny this 20 cent burger is…

    • +1

As in compare it with a 20c coin 🤔

      • bout the same size :D

Nice, I drove past it y-day but it was closed.

It's a really crappy location though, if you are coming from the other side of the road it's kinda hard to get to. No traffic lights and nowhere to turn in from.

    • if you are coming from the other side of the road it's kinda hard to get to.

      Take that as a blessing

Probably will just use the burgers left in the tray when the store closed 27 years ago, just put them in the microwave for 60 seconds and nobody will know the difference.

If only we could get there on the 7-Eleven helicopter…

  • +1

The traffic is gonna be chaos on the Hume Highway so I recommend parking in Reynolds Ave/Cairds Ave and walking up to the store. That'll help burn off a few calories from all the burgers too!

  • Macca's Coffee at $2 is still too much.

  • +3

They probably still making a profit even at 20c

    • Well it is "Burger King"

  • Driving all the way from Melbourne for a 0.20c burger seems a bit excessive to me.

  • Best thing about Yagoona is that pork roll place next to that Lebanese bakery place. I had my first manoush there meat and cheese.. Lemon and chili.. Man I need to go back there I wonder if it's still operational.. Thanks Brian for showing me that place man life really is ruled by the most smallest and randomest decisions.. Stay safe and be smart everyone we will all get through this.

    • 😒🤔 manoosh or pork roll

      • Hard decision I know so I got both
