      I'd go for the Techni Ice, they look better made. I've had an Evacool for a number of years and while they work great, and keep ice for days, the build quality is a bit shitty.

          The screws on the hinges and handles on the ice box were loose and some of the screws no longer could be tightened as the threading was stuffed. The joining surfaces of the lid isn't the flattest. The foam seal was low quality and squished so flat it was no longer sealing properly.

          I have fixed all the issues and replaced the seal but I shouldn't have to when buying a brand new product. This might not be the same for all of them and maybe I got unlucky with a dud.

          For the discounted price it's definitely worth it. I've had mine sitting in the sun with 40 degree weather over 3 days and there was still plenty of ice at the end.

      Techni Ice. They are right up there. But they are more expensive.

      IceKool are very good though. From reviews I’ve read anyway.

      I ordered one of these after missing out on the last real.

    I’m after icebox and looked at Dometic icebox as well.
    How is this compare to Dometic? Any one had any experience with Dometic, they look overpriced even after discount.

      Dometic seem to be an Anaconda home brand. It appears, and reviews I’ve read say, that they are definitely not as good as the IceKool.

        They are not an Anaconda home brand. They sell them at BCF and other stores too.

        They were previously known as Waeco. The old waeco cool ice are identical to the Dometic ones.
