I was looking for a backup PD charger for my 14inch MBP and found this charger in black colour on sale for half price, which is pretty good for a 65w PD charger with cable, suits my need perfectly. Now I just need 1 charger for my MBP and iPhone and stuff…

  • Unrelated topic. I bought the 20w heymix pd dual port charger. Why do I have to unplug and plug in the USB cable to start charging ? It's quiet annoying. Any idea ?

    • +1

Probably faulty in your case, ask for exchange.

    • +4

got the same problem with different heymix chargers. maybe it’s not a fault, it’s a function :p

      • i got the 65w and 120w version, never have this problem.

    • +3

Could be the same issue as the blitzwolf chargers.. Some blitzwolf models have a very bad rep because of it

    • +2

I have bought a blitzwolf car charger which support "all fast charging protocols", so basically it will try to send a handshake signal of each fast charging protocols one at a time trying to fast charge the phone.

If the phone didn't play nice while seeing an unsupported handshake attempt, it might stop charging altogether and require an unplug-replug. Yours might be this case.

Side note, that blitzwolf charger don't support the old VOOC/DASH charge properly and would not charge my oneplus 5T, its so annoying as it charges all other phone and type C laptop but just not my phone.

  • Shows up as $35.99?

  • Saw this last week but didn’t post because I don’t know alot about chargers and their pricing.

But thanks OP, got one :)

Seems like expired now due to max redemptions reached (for those wondering)

Similar to a few above, the voucher isn't appearing.
I was able to get it to show up by refreshing a bunch of time but when I ticked it, it said I wasn't eligible for this voucher.

  • Must have had a quota for the coupon, shame this is exactly what I have been after for a long time.

Just curious would this be able to charge a phone at full speed if it supports fast charging etc?

    • It depends.
If this and your phone support that charging then it will charge fast.

But if your phone also supports ultra extreme fast charging then your phone will charge slower than full speed.

  • I got one of these a week ago to charge my pixel 6 as it has pps apparently… Not sure how fast it should charge but when the phone is low I get around 4250ma charge rate which is around 17w. The phone can charge at 20 so I'm not sure if this is the real world expectation or falls slightly short. Either way hope this helps.

    • +1

If your phone does PD20W then no charger will charge at 20W constantly. They go up and down.

      • Yep I had it on for a while and it hovered between 4150 and 4270 the whole time. 20w is 5000 so didn't get up that high at all. Like I said, this could he totally normal or just the pps algorithm isn't ideal for a pixel 6.

        • Using it on my P6 Pro I've seen it hit 4700mA. Though I've noticed on the latest December update the charging speed particularly when using the phone has dropped quite a bit (at least for me anyway); hovers around 900mA now when using the phone where before I'm certain it was much higher - just tested it with the official Google charger and it's doing the same - maybe temperature related (now that summer has actually hit?).

@beaver2233: What's your charge level? To get max charge you need to be at like 20% or something. Also there is a feature where it slows charging based on the alarm that's set so it extends the life of your battery in the long run. If you're charging and it's 90% you probably won't get a fast charge.

            • @AndyRoo: Yeah I understand all that, and adaptive charging is set to off. This is pretty much every time (even at 20%) - when the screen is off it seems fine though if i'm using it (just browsing) it just drops to 900mA; occasionally it may jump to 2000mA or so for a very short period. As I said, I didn't seem to notice this behaviour prior to the latest update.

              • @beaver2233: They really dropped the ball on the charging with the p6 ey… Better charge rates out of my old realme without pps and all the other fancy stuff

                • @AndyRoo: Yep, it's difficult moving from a OnePlus 7T that's a few years old and still trumps the brand new Pixel charging.

        • How did you come up with that 5,000mA figure? 20W is 4,000mA at 5V. I don't think PD standard ever goes below 5V. 4,150mA is 20.75W at worst.

          • @bio: Battery is 4v I believe mate.

  • Damn, missed out!

  • Great deal. Missed too
