    Want one that mops too

    • -2

      so get one

      • Suggestions?

        • I got the Eufy Mop model. Not bad but the mop part of it is pretty crap. Its good to remove some dust from the environment but that's about it.

        • My wife got fake-angry at the braava jet m6 for doing a better job than her when she hurt her back and caved on getting them.

Picked it up when it was about 620 on kogan. Don't have other models to compare again

        • The Roborock S5 Max seems to be popular on OzB, depending on your budget though. It generally goes anywhere from $750-$1000 but has been lower than that from reputed and questionable sellers, and has been as low as $500 from Amazon this year.

No mapping by the sounds of it?! Seems like it comes with a strip to section off a room or corridor

    • Description says "Seamless navigation: iAdapt Responsive Navigation uses a full suite of sensors enable Roomba to work its way in and around the nooks and crannies of your room."

      • Yes but no mention of a map synced for future use like exclusion areas and zone customisation.

No wifi on this model. I bought one in Black Friday sale at this price, less $10 with code and 10% discounted Wish cards so I’m pretty happy for <$250. This thing collects a heap of hair, fluff and dirt I didn’t know was on my seemingly spotless floors!

  • Wouldn’t the Eufy 35c @ JB for $199 a better deal considering it also has wifi?

    • Shame that doesn't having mapping either, you still need to use the boundary strips

      • At this price point, you usually won't get mapping. I just got a T8 myself, seems to be pretty good so far.

Wouldn't Xiaomi equivalent be around this price but include mapping?

    • reviews seem to say that roombas clean better and don't break as much . and if they do break, you can actually get them repaired.

Wifi is a pain in the backside for us. If I could figure out how to disable it altogether, I'd do it like a shot.

That's a pretty minor annoyance though - A more important issue - the 35c is a vampire. Can't handle transitions from dark surfaces to light/bright light. (Triggers the stair sensor). We often end up with ours backed into a corner by a sunbeam. If you don't have stairs you can disable the sensor with a bit of tape. Unfortunately, we have one step it can fall down, so we end up vacuuming based on time of day and/or cloudy days - and even then we need to partition the house.

I'm watching a review and it seems to get stuck alot. I think the constant thumping into walls would get annoying. Seems like a great deal for those that cbf and want to run it when out

IMO robot vacuums without Lidar/room mapping are not worth buying. They are very inefficient and take 3x the time to clean a room, and even then they can still miss spots.

Can someone please recommend me a robot vaccum?

The living are is travertine tiles (has holes and pits due to its porous surface), and bedrooms are thick plush carpets

Budget $700, but prefer to pay less obviously

Do not recommend this vacuum for those with big areas. As someone mentioned above, ones without lidar or mapping are whack.

    • Thanks for the input 👍
