Free 3-Hour Delivery On In-Stock Items @ Apple Store

1070

Apple is offering free three-hour delivery (usually $15) on all in-stock items when you order by 12:00 pm on 24/12/21.

Available in most metro areas, and excludes customised Macs, engraved products, and certain order types including orders paid for with financing or bank transfer.

Might be a good deal for those of you drowning in Apple Gift Cards from the recent promotions and/or simply need to get Christmas gifts sorted ASAP.

Out of interest who is the delivery company that does the 3 hour service?

    • +19

I certainly hope it isn't DoorDash, whose workers brazenly steal your food after delivery. :-P

    • May be mailcall couriers

      I believe it’s Sherpa.

    • +1

From memory they usually use TNT/FEDEX

    • Not DoorDash like what others are floating around. Items from Apple are higher valued so would more likely be with Sherpa for these on-demand deliveries.

    • StarTrack for mine

  • Does this include MacBook Pro or does it depend on the store as well?

    • Includes everything, but good luck finding one of the new MBPs in stock (aside maybe the base model)

      • I ordered a base 16” which was sent from China then called Apple to see if delivery was going according to schedule and they said they had the base model in stock but I would have to reorder. Used the AOC discount so said I could wait 5 days

      • Thanks! I ordered the base model and they said three weeks to ship it so seeing if I can just pick it up instead.

Quite a few. Makes a lotta sense once you realise the resale value of apple products means that its not actually that expensive for a top-end device.

      • +4

Yep. And how long their products last/are supported for. I still have my 2011 Macbook Air that I bought for uni and it still works well.

        • +3

Yep my 2013 MacBook Air still works great and I bought it second hand. That was after a newer windows PC I owned had died. I recently bought the 2018 iPhone XR from big W because I'd been through two android phones made after that date. One died the other was just making my life worse.

      @Marcsie
      Billions and lots.
      Any more q’s?

PSA: Don't use same day deliveries with Apple. They tend to go bad, with very limited support from Apple once the product has left their store.

For reference, just received mine within 2 hours from ordering without any issues. Delivered via Uber Eats with live tracking, seamless process.

Does anyone know the minimum purchase price? Or how to check if it is in stock? It's not working for me (even with an iPhone in the cart). Delivery date is 29/12/2021.

    • Same here can’t work out how to get the 3h delivery option, tried a $45 cable to an iPad mini, no option

    • I just purchased then. I found the same issue, however once I went to the final payment page and then went back into cart and changed the delivery option, it was showing up for me at that point.

I think you need to be logged in and confirm delivery address before it offers it to you.

Note: The offer is also available in the education store.

      • Accessories tend not to have any discount or very little discount in the education store.

      • Yeah I just tried again and I saw the option (with a time window choice) and on the next steps the option disappeared and now I go to back to the cart and the option is gone, very wierd. Maybe they're running out of time slots…

        • That’s quite unusual, mine was showing plenty of slots, maybe they have a cutoff each day. I’d say it’s maybe just an error, I’d say maybe try add a different product to cart to refresh it and then remove and add back your item and see how it goes.

          • @doweyy: Yeah not seeing options again. Wonder what the restrictions are, no visible T&C

    • I’ve just received some replacement tips for my daughters Apple pencil, it’s $29

If you have spent thousands of your hard earned dollars on MacBook, just go and pick it up! Much easier and safer.

I only ordered something relatively cheap, but in Brisbane currently I'm not risking going anywhere near a shopping centre if I can help it. Too much risk of being stuck in isolation for going near a Casual or Close case. This is a welcome offer, depending on what you want.

      • Ironically that risk is much higher than the actually catching the bug at the moment.

    • Sound advice. 💯

This is what I do with almost all of my Apple purchases that are available for C&C at my local Apple store.

    • Only for models which do not require a special custom build.

Also, it might be better now, but a few weeks ago, there were 2 queue system in place outside my nearest Apple store.

  • Thanks, OP! Ordered a power adapter, USB-C cable and a USB-C to 3.5mm audio jack converter, with all 3 getting delivered tomorrow morning by a courier service.

    • Okay, so I placed my order yesterday roughly around the 4pm timeframe. I selected 9:30am to 11:30am as my delivery window. This morning, I received a message from Apple saying that my delivery was delayed and now scheduled between 11:30am and 1:30pm. At about 1pm, I received another notification from Apple saying that I can now expect my delivery latest by 4pm. Glad I did not have to wait that long as I eventually received my delivery at 1:25pm. Not sure who the courier was. The delivery person came in his car to deliver, took a photo and then left.

  • Hmmm I'm only getting tomorrow as an option. I need more free value than that! Any ideas?

  • Great. Tried to buy stuff. Had to pick up.

  • Nice.

Ordered a iphone and arrive within 2.5 hour. Random t-shirt guy with his own car
