I had one such case for my ipad2, since I liked the apple version that came out for the ipad1. It's not the same quality. It looks the same initially, but the aftermarket cases loses shape after a few months, and the opening for the buttons, headphone plugs and camera doesn't align properly anymore. The corders also doesn't properly protect the ipad, so mine got scratchmarks on two corners eventually. I'd stay away.

exact same thing for my ipad2 cover,
everything from the unaligning holes to the scratches in the corner.
The sleep function and the foldable stand work still after 1 year though.

What's the best case for the ipad3??? Want to protect front and back.
I've been doing a fair bit of research on cases recently. I wanted something front and back as well so I went for a Smart Cover and a shell for the back. I ended up buying a Smart Cover but I found the upright position too steep and I wanted adjustable angles and something that would sit on the lap in different angles, which the Smart Cover didn't do.
I've now narrowed down my choice to the SwitchEasy Canvas or the Yoobao Executive. I don't like a lot of the edges of the iPad being impeded by a case (plus I didn't like the angles of the Yoobao case) so it looks like the SwitchEasy Canvas it is.

either poor design or poor QC - either way Id rather spend a few bucks more and get something third-party, but not super-cheap-made-in-china-probably-cheaper-on-DealExtreme-or-even-ebay
My mum bought this exact same one from some flea market. It is kerrr-app. Wouldn't pay a dollar for this let alone $13+. Poor finish, bad materials, terrible fit, etc. If people want to save the environment they should be preventing companies that make shite like this from existing.
For the new iPad (3rd Generation) I picked up one of these when Dick Smith had them on special.

Had to stretch it a little to make it fit really well but the big difference is that the magnets are sitting the correct direction so the autowake/sleep works fine.
