    • +1

      There's more than 3…
      There's like, 9?

      • WUT?!?!
        I only saw 3?

      • I think you can only tick 3 as the maximum…

        • yep, just had a look. you can scroll through (which i didnt know about) but it cancels out the other ticks!

  • +1

Thanks OP, ordered. The site seemed to think I didn't know my own address, but we'll see when it arrives.

  • Postcode and city do not match

    • ive got the same problem

    • put your suburb instead of city

  • +1

i think city = suburb on forms from that site

also i think you only get a postcard with a one-use sample on it

    • +2

In Australia, we call them surburbs.
In America, they call them city?

Don't you all waych enough TV? :p

      • +1

Actually, cities/suburbs mean the same thing. The US just has a different method of dividing post-codes as they have many small towns that share the single post code vs us concentrated in a handful of capital cities. They also have additional post codes for military bases and aircraft carriers.

where's the order button after you fill in all your details? lol I can't see one or its hidden.

    • +1

Yeah, where the hell is the order/submit/action/whatever button???

      • Use Microsoft Internet Explorer. I solved the issue by this

        • +1

Nope, still not showing. Hmmmm….something fishy??

        • Try another browser?

    • i used firefox. might need to enable javascript for the site if you have blocked it

      • Yep, i had to enable it, but i saw 9 thingies to choose from before i enabled it :p

    • +4

EDIT: was able to fill it out and press enter.

      • Yeah I had to do the same.

    • Are you using Chrome?

I'm using chrome and I couldn't see it. But you'll notice there's a line down the bottom of the page, this is what you need to click on!! The line is the top of the button!!

    • When you fill in your email address just hit ENTER and it will take you to a page saying your order is placed and where to check on the status of your samples.

  • i dont know how to finish the form ?
    simonvon1977 please help ????

    • What's wrong with the form?
I was able to do it?

    • +2

If you can't find the button, just click in a box, e.g. email and press enter. Worked for me.

      • i pressed enter after i did all the details and it seemed to have maybe worked.
        it seems pretty vague though.

  • +1

    Lame form

    • What's wrong with the form?
I was able to do it?

    • +13

Yes yes, we all know Hugo Boss designed uniforms for the Nazis and if nothing else, they were very well-dressed.

    • -8

Well this is news to me

      • +3

can you please neg on the value of the deal and not on whether something is news to you or not, thankyou

        • it's like your an anti jv…

        • he didn't neg

        • +1

He did neg, but it looks like the community voted his comment down -> community moderated vote retraction

    • +1

Well if you look carefully I didn't even neg the deal, nor did the person who said "well this is news to me" so really there is no reason to downvote our posts. It is just relevant information about the brand, not anything to do with the deal.

  • +3

is it the paper sample or the actual bottle ;)

    • +3

I bet it's paper sample wish I am wrong.

      • i had this sample before and yes its a postcard with a small plastic mat sealed with a smell of hugo ! just like u walk into myers and spary it in a paper.

  • +1

Couldn't see the Confirm/Submit button either. Just use 'Tab' until you get down to the terms & conditions, Tab two more times and hit Enter or Space. Form Submitted.

Edit: I could only see Terms Conditions when using Internet Explorer. Could not see it with Chrome or Firefox

  • +1

Could anyone get more than 3? I selected 3 then pressed for the next page, selected more and the previous page reset itself. I just ordered 3 and pressed enter in the e-mail tab and it seemed to go through.

  • +4

If you want a more direct approach?
    http://bit.ly/HunPYl

    • thanks )

      • You're welcome :D

    • thankyou

      • You're welcome :D

  • +1

Nice 1st post :) No problems ordering, went straight through!

  • +5

OMG, there's tracking for a SAMPLE!!!

  • +17

I ordered this and received it and it was just a very very tiny piece of clothes which you can smell. Not a bottle or anything useful =(

Went straight in the bin. A waste of time imo

    • +3

But the website explicitly says Hugo Boss Bottled?

Wow, that is stingy. You can pinch as many of these as you want from Myer or David Jones but they won't give any directly?

      • +16

Bottled is the name of the perfume, doesn't mean sample will come in a bottle.

      • Oh you are precious.

    • +1

sure it was the same offer? cause thats really shit..

      • +5

You really didn't think that Hugo Boss who give out free glass bottled samples to anyone without any shipping charge??

There are no limits how many times you can keep ordering it.

        • Would've assumed redoing the order would say something like only 1 per person or household or something..

Them giving out free glass sample bottles would probably be more likely then them thinking people would actually WANT free pieces of paper that smell nice.

If it was 1 glass sample bottle, guess it could have been possible.

    • +1

I think he is right. I ordered last time as well.

    • +5

Yup, if you're after scented bits of paper, David Jones or Myer is easier and has more variety.

      • -6

can you please neg on the value of the deal as you dont have to go to the shop to get it, thankyou

        • +1

He is negging on the value of the deal. This isn't worth the effort and the risk of Hugo Boss having your name and address.

      • +4

If it's a flat pack, simple use wipe then, if you are going on a short trip, maybe it's useful. Otherwise it's just so you know what it smells like and if you might want to buy it.

    • -2

can you please neg on the value of the deal which you have not even recieved yet, thankyou

  • +7

This is just paper with a bit of the cologne sprayed on it. Why is everyone so keen on this?

    • +1

      it's freeeeee….

    • +9

I think because we all assumed it was a little glass vial, like the ones that come attached to fashion mags or something.

If it said "Free paper strips, dunked in fragrant water!"; well then we wouldn't give a toss.

And on that note; not a single toss was given by me.

      • +1

        You speak for me

  • +4

Yea i'm gonna neg, it does look like a small bottle on the website, (tho i can see that its probably just the look of the bottle).

  • Thanks, cant argue with FREE

  • +1

Form doesn't load properly in IE9 and Chrome. Some retard try hard doing fancy form who doesn't know anything about compatibility! Just put up a basic HTML form can't be that hard?!

  • Yep Ordered No Problem
Got "Post Code does not match" … but as mentioned above enter your suburb not city
Good Sport Simonvon1977 for sharing with us

  • +1

Waste of time. The stupid website is unusable (in IE , Firefox or Safari).

  • +1

Can my dad who lives at same address put in a sample order aswell?

    • Sure, why not?

  • boss orange sample was simply a postcard from the UK with a peelable sticker.
underneath it was a small soaked tissue about 1"x 1" which smelt nice.
if you must request a fragrant tissue, pick Bottled Night.
it's ever so masculine, and I love it to bits.

  • +5

    Negged. Not bottle. damm

    • -3

      never claimed it was….

      • +8

I think most would assume nobody would even waste THEIR time posting a deal for a piece of scented paper.

        • and yet…. here we are…

  • +2

Pretty rough negging a freebie, people. It claimed to be a sample - you will get a sample. How can you complain about not getting something that was never even offered to you? Sheesh.

  • Negged. Not bottle. Confusing!!! (And a waste of time)

    • +1

Agreed!! Can't believe this has so many + votes

  • +3

who wants a cloth with perfume on it LOL. rub it on your arm pits -> good to go hugo boss style

  • I ordered various samples from Hugo before, they send a post card with a small foil section.

You unpeel the foil and smell the cloth underneath - that's the sample but it's free so you can't really complain.

  • +4

I don't think this really classifies as a bargain… it's not an actual usable sample, it's just a piece of paper that you can smell to see if you want to buy more. The "freebie" is basically just a piece of advertising. It's not a bargain any more than a free flyer is a bargain.

    • +6

I beg to differ, I am going to cut that shit out, Rub it on myself and go clubbing. Like a -hugo- BOSS.

  • Can't even work the form. On Firefox it doesn't show the submit button!

  • +7

Seems pretty obvious lots of people assumed this was a real sample bottle, and not just a piece of cloth with a few drops to sniff at. Which makes it misleading. That's still a bad thing even though it's free because customer information has value. Negged as misleading and deceptive, it has clearly misled and deceived lots of people. A free sample should be a free sample. For using, not for sniffing at.

    • -2

      you don't say

    • +3

Misleading and deceptive conduct! Call the ACCC! When I put my details down to receive a free sample of cologne, they didn't send me a full bottle! They just sent me a SAMPLE! How dare they!

  • +5

They should HONESTLY describe in CLEAR UNAMBIGUOUS terms what the sample is including its actual size and millilitres.

To display images of bottles and then just send PONG cards is misleading and deceptive.

All it does is damage the brand and make me not want to buy Hugo Boss.

They should try to exceed customer expectations….. Not play trickery with new customers like this.

So if you expected a sample bottle and just get a pong card…. Then just buy another brand from another manufacturer.

    • +1

I suspect people who went online, would have understood what this was. The commotion came when it was posted on ozbargain, as people assumed (as it was here), that is was something more.

It's not Hugo's fault, its probably a standard practice they have.

That's why i negged, because of the 'deal', not the product.

  • +5

Perfume changes smell on different people's skin so a sample you can't even apply is bollocks.
