The next daily Epic freebie, unfortunately a repeat and a game most of us probably have by this point. A nice timely reminder to play this game! Ashtray Maze being an unforgettable sequence, superb.

      I also played it from PS+ (When they upgraded it to Ps5). Awesome play-through, loved everything coming together and being OP towards the end.

    Didn’t Epic giveaway Control Ultimate Edition a month or two back? I know I already claimed it but this is still great for anyone that might’ve missed the Ultimate Edition

      For Ultimate Edition, that was Prime Gaming in November

      Normal version was also free in June thru Epic. Maybe later too, this games been given away for free a number of times.

      I think so. Twitch also gave out the ultimate edition to its prime members recently, on GOG.

      FWIW, the Epic store also has the season pass for the 2 extra DLC packs in the Ultimate Edition on sale for A$9.19, until 7th Jan.

      Yeah I struggled with it also, got about 8 hours in before I sorta stopped playing, the story was moving very very slowly

    Damn, Prey really was the best new freebie they've offered. EPIC Game Store freebies have fallen off a bit this year. Was really expecting Watch Dogs Legion or something this time around. Guess the Fortnite cash is getting a bit bare after Apple cut them off and China.

    Absolutely fantastic game, well worth a play through. The DLCs are even better and have ties ins to the Alan Wake universe.

    The design and sound in this is phenomenal. I have no idea what to do with the artefacts and I got irretrievably stuck, but it's awesome.

    feels like Epic has cheaped out on this one? base game was free earlier this year, and ultimate was given away by Prime. not to mention that it was half a dollar for ultimate not long ago

    they should have at offered ultimate version today for it to feel generous.

    the game is fantastic though, even without DLC

      Yeah agreed. To be fair to Epic, we shouldn't be complaining since they give out free games every week but it is disappointing that they've repeated this game in the same calendar year.

          Unfortunately Control has been one of those games that has been free everywhere… Gamepass, Twitch Via Prime, Less than $1 through CDkeys and now Epic x 2.

          I do agree they could've done better but we definitely can't complain.

    Already played this on Game Pass, but will add it on Epic just in case my game pass expires.

    Great game! The level/game design is incredible. Creep atmosphere, awesome weapons and powers.

    Great game. Played on PS5. If it wasn’t free I wouldn’t have seen it. Glad I did. Surprise of 2021 for me.

    I played the first few hours of this game but didn't like it. This is coming from someone who loved Max Payne and Alan Wake. Something about this game just didn't hold my interest for some reason.
