Hoka Running Shoes Sale: Hoka Arahi $129 (50% off), Hoka Clifton $119 (50% off)

240

Some great deals going on the Hoka Australia webstore in their boxing day sale. Some styles (both men's and women's) at 50% off, and multiple colourways available. Both running and walking shoes available.

I'm coming from a pair of Asics Kayanos and was looking for a stability/support shoe, so went for the Hoka Arahi. Not sure which ones to buy? My go-to website for reviews is Running Shoe Guru: https://www.runningshoesguru.com/reviews/hoka-one-one/all/

This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2021

  • Basically no sizes :(

    • Make sure you check the different colourways for each style - some had all sizes available, while others had hardly any.

Thanks OP. I was a previous user of the Gel Kayanos - liked them but didn't love them, tried some Brooks Bedlams and hated them, now on Hoka Arahis and think they're fantastic. Hopefully you get on well with them too.

    • Fingers crossed! Quite a few of the older runners at my Parkrun and running group have switched over to the Hokas and swear by them. Looking forward to giving them a go…

    • I'm in Kayano now, can't advise if sizing is the same can ya?

      • +1

        I wore a 9.5US Kayano and wear a 9US Arahi.

  • Rincon3 or Arahi5?

    • If you just want pure cushioning, then the Rincon3 (which is a lighterweight version of the Clifton). If you're a neutral runner with no pronating issues, then probably a good pick.

If you have any pronation issues and/or prefer a shoe with some more support, then the Arahi5 for sure. Slightly less cushioning, but more structure to support and guide the foot.

    • I believe these are a scam. I've reported my purchase with my financial institution, thought it'd warn you too.

  • Shame there's nothing for Men's Speedgoats

  • Better getting Clifton than Rincon. Rincon nowhere near as durable. Rincon is good while it lasts though.
Personally if you want a fast shoe go Rocket X, skip Rincon and use the clifton for the easy runs.
Running Warehouse has more sizes available but slightly more.

  • For cushion neutral, NB Fresh Foam More are the benchmark.

    • Why do you say that.
Haven't tried the More but used to be a newbalance 1080 fanboi but Hoka is meant to be pretty good for some of its cushioning daily runners from what i've heard. Too pricey for me haha

Second pair of Bondi 7's here I come, thanks OP. The last pair of Bondi 7's have been incredibly good for my plantar fasciitis. 100% worth it.

In the Medical field, Hoka Bondi are where it's at. Nurses, doctors, pharmacists - who are on their feet for 7 hours or more recommend them.

I wear my Hoka Bondi's for 7+ hour shifts without getting tired, and I've worn many other shoes like Addidas, Brooks and more, but none of them could keep me from feeling exhausted after about 4 hours of standing.

  • Good price for carbon x2

    • I believe these are a scam. I've reported my purchase with my financial institution, thought it'd warn you too.

      • Okaayyyy. Why?

        • Because you appear to have purchased as well.

Edit: if you haven't, then ignore my comment. Just trying to let people know

          • @softwhite: My question why you believe they are a scam, and reported them to your financial institution?

            • @mandelbrot: I cannot access their site from which i purchased. I cannot view my account and order history. I cannot access a contact us page. If this is legit, they did a good job at fooling me.

Their email automation says this which is fishy:
Hoka One One is powered by BigCommerce. Launch your own store for free with BigCommerce.

  • No arahi in wide fit :(

running warehouse have 25% off (added at checkout). So if you find something you like on sale not bad deal.

(arahi not on sale. But they seem to have more sizes for a range of shoes)

  • Clifton 8’s 👌🏼

    • I believe these are a scam. I've reported my purchase with my financial institution, thought it'd warn you too.

      • Oh I would never buy from this dodgy trash. Just saying Clifton 8’s are great.

  • I have arahi and gaviota in wide. Awesome running shoes. Have served me well for years. I have a bad knee and these shoes have been brilliant

  • I bought a pair. Is this site legit? It appears to be down.

    • Definitely legit, its the official Hoka Australia website.

I just called Reflex Sports Pty Ltd (who run the Hoka website in Australia) and she said there were thousands of orders over Christmas. Their small team has been swamped and this is their first day back. They are going to try to pump out the orders as fast as they can and will be allotting more postal pickups to clear the huge backlog.

I'm not worried about this website being a scam. Sure, the website is down, but I called them direct, they picked up straight away and I got a straight answer. From all I can see Reflex appears to be a legitimate business.

Did softwhite actually try to contact Reflex Sports before commenting on so many posts that 'website is a scam'?

    • Sounds like user error. Lol

    • Thanks for the heads up. I came back to this post to see if anyone else had received any shipping notifications etc as I too found the online store linked in the post was done. Can see the sale listed on their socials and am also not concerned - so long as their stock holdings were accurate!

      • My order will be fine, she verified that they have stock.

She said there may be a tiny amount of orders where it’s out of stock but she’ll be contacting those people directly - the system simply got overwhelmed.

Have received an email which clears things up.

    Letter from our Director,
We are sending you this email as you are one of the many customers who have made a purchase on the hokaoneone.com.au website between the 23rd December and the 4th January.

Reflex Sports have been the Distributor for Hoka One One for the last 11 years however the Distribution rights have transferred over to the Accent Group (The Athletes Foot) from the 4th January.

As a result the website has changed from what you have previously used and the tracking information on the previous website has been disabled however please be assured Reflex Sports will still be fulfilling your online order and we are working hard to do so as we speak.

If you haven't received tracking information from Australia Post by Friday this week go to the new HOKA WEBSITE and click on the contact us link which will direct you to Reflex Sports.

Reflex Sports would like to thank you for your support.

    Kind regards,
    Rob Grant, Director Reflex Sports.

    • Yes bought a pair and have received this email from the director. They'll be fulfilling the orders just need a bit of extra time which is totally fine in my case.
