You’d be better off with this for $27:

I paid $44 for it and it’s pretty great. I can now bbq a whole chicken without fear of giving my family food poisoning. Added bonus of two probes is you can have a probe race. Come on probe 2!

The ink bird uses an app not a detachable part like this one. The app is actually not bad.

    • [Edit] Got my answer from the Amazon Q&A section. Thanks for sharing the deal

I ordered one of these inkbird thermometers from a previous deal and find it to be horribly inaccurate cooking large cuts of meat on the weber.

Poking it all the way into the centre of the meat it seems to report 10-15 degrees warmer than my other thermometers from mid way though a cook.
Yet if I stick the probe in a glass of hot water it reads within a degree of my other thermometers.

It almost seems like its picking up some of the ambient temp from the cooking area

I have a weber branded equivalent which reads accurately but their app is unreliable, whereas the Inkbird app is much more reliable, i just cant trust the temps it reports back :(

Why do you have so many thermometers and which one would you recommend?

        • A few, still searching for a reliable wireless one!

For now I'm just using the $30 weber branded instant read.

    • How long does it take to show the temp? I have a basic one on a spike that takes up to 45 secs which is far too long

      • You leave it in the entire time. Then it either displays the temperature on the display or into the app. Constantly updating.

Negging because the Inkbird Bluetooth Wireless Meat Thermometer mentioned above by LuckyDrew looks like a better product for less. Plus Camel says it's the lowest price since Aug 2018.

Another option is the best selling (9735 orders) Meat Thermometer on Aliexpress for US$2.54 + $0.36 delivery + GST
Save your money & put it towards some meat.

  • The one on amazon listed above is cheaper and better.

  • More Junk, More Spamazon.

Cheaper elsewhere as above. Don't support the dilution of OzBargain.
