Neato D3 Botvac Connected Robotic Vacuum Cleaner $499.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required)

40

Note: requires Costco Membership.

I don't know anything about robotic vacuum cleaners, but this price is substantially cheaper than anywhere else. For example, Myer have it in sale, marked down to $759. It's $50 cheaper than CostCo's regular price.

From Costco's description:
The D3 automatically adjusts suction power depending on what surface it’s cleaning and with twin power modes, you can adjust your cleaning performance to the situation. With the unique D shaped chassis, the D3 can clean close to walls and in tight spots, using an extra-wide brush to thoroughly clean your flooring. Laser Smart technology intelligently navigates and maps your home, cleaning in straight lines instead of a random pattern. Easily control your robot from your phone, smartwatch, Amazon Echo, and Google Home. Auto charge and resume allows your robot return to base to power up and then go back out and pick up where it left off.

CostCo membership is $60/year, so even if you have to pay the membership fee, it's still considerably cheaper than anywhere else.

I'd read those with a grain of salt and a possibility of user errors. I have had a Neato (non wifi version), got some 6 years ago, going against the most "recommended" roomba back then. It has been an incredible device. Way more mature than what roomba used to be. And we are so happy with it, its still going strong (needed a few battery replacements). The mate who recommended the neato still has his (previous model than mine) going strong for about 8 years now.

      • yeah, most problems seems to be wifi related which you dont have.

Agreed. I’ve had a “Connected” (precursor to the Connected D3) for five years now and it has performed flawlessly. No issues with wifi etc - it’s been great.

Also Netao doesn't have a mopping option which is a deal breaker if you have got lot of hard surface.

Deal breaker? Really? I dont think you are quite up to scratch with a robot's mopping ability. Just like a robot vacuum isn't a substitute for elbow grease, you'd be very hard pressed to find a robot doing satisfactory mopping of the whole entire house. From what I know they are good for mopping up general spills - might as well grab the mop to do it.
