Lenovo Yoga 7i EVO 14" Win 11 2-in-1 Laptop - 16GB RAM - 512GB - Intel i7 1165G7 $1429 (+$50 Cashback) + Delivery @The Good Guys

800

$1379 if the cashback works? I don't too much about it but am already happy with the current price.

Just bought this from JB HI-FI and funnily enough my price match was rejected TWICE by the sales clerks in store. They kept telling me how the good guys was out of stock and they had low stock and so they couldn't price match??? I couldn't believe it so I called up the sales team right in front of them and was able to get a message that lets me check the laptop out for $1429. I risked my health going outside, no way I was coming home empty handed.

If there are any better deals for a 2in1 out there, let me know!

14 inch FHD display with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics. Screen seems to be 300nits. Haven't opened it yet but the only things I'm worried about so far are the glossy screen and fan noise, will update if anyone wants to know

Edit: Just found out 2in1 screen protectors exist, is it necessary?

Lenovo seem to be hitting all the right notes lately. I’m looking to replace my old Microsoft Laptop - looking for a 14-15” screen, touch, ultra-portable with good battery life and good keyboard. Any suggestions?

    • Ive been using this laptop for 6 months now and i highly rate it, lenovo have done a really great job

got this from JB and price matched and paid with Gift card. yep I know JB js getting funny lately. I emailed the manager firstly and he replied me Yes they do price match then I went to the store. had to show emails to.the staff. JB is naughty now

    • I thought JB was always naughty.

  • I also got this yesterday at Chermside. No question ask and the sales just price match with the good guy price. I also use the 15% off gift card from coles.

  • Dell had a deal a couple days ago which was slightly lower spec closer to $1k which seemed pretty decent too. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/674175

  • So why not just walk into Good Guys to get it in the first place?

    • coz 15% discount from Gift card?

      • How to get 15% discount? I am only aware of 5% ones..

  • lol op:

I risked my health going outside, no way I was coming home empty handed.

    good on ya :)

I don't know any laptops out there that have perfected the 2in1. Are there any out there and is this Lenovo good with 2in1?

    • HP spectre x360 14 or 13 if you want something more compact

      • wow that's expensive

        • Hp Envy x360 if you want something a bit cheaper.

        • Try the envy version for something more affordable but the spectre models usually have 1k off discount. Spectre models are absolute top notch for 2-1 laptop experience.

      • I just got spectre with 13.5" which I think they refer to as 14. The 3:2 screen ratio is awesome. It's gone back to where it was 20 years ago. Would never get a 16:9 laptop again.

    • I have the same laptop with amd ryzen 5800u. It's a solid 2 in 1 with good pen.

    • I have the HP elite Dragonfly, very expensive but it's the best 2 in 1 I've ever used

  • Glad you bought it! Screen protector isn't needed, I annotate on it daily with no issues

  • "$1379 if the cashback works?"

Eligible for cashback. Purchase period ends Jan 13, 2022.

edit: JB page states the cashback offer ends Dec 31. Good Guys has the correct date on their listing.

This vs dell xps 13 2 in 1?

  • $30 cheaper at office works? I think it’s the same model…

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-yog…

    • No stock in SA / available online for that model. Not sure what the difference is but it's not this exact model, as they also have this for the same price as TGG (guessing they're price matching them… and they have stock in some stores too)…

      https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-yog…

Edit - I reckon the difference is the cheaper / unavailable model was one that shipped with Windows 10, whereas this one has Windows 11. Other than that all the hardware specs appear the same.

  • how is this compared to Dell insipron 7415 14 inch 2-in-1

  • My sister also bought this laptop 4 days ago. She was very happy with this device and the price paid.

  • this or dell xps 13 9310 im still at the moment waiting for it to go back to the price it was on black friday

    • What was the price and where was it? On the lookout for a similar specced laptop but apart from an Inspiron 7415 AMD can't find any with a sodimm ddr4 memory which can be upgraded.

from what I see, the main difference is a screen display 300 nits (Lenovo) vs 500 nits (dell) also a bigger battery on Lenovo.

I am also waiting for the dell laptop deal to come back now thinking should i just get this as I prefer a 14 screen size over 13.3 it's a perfect size for compact.

    • Think this lack Windows Hello and bundled pen too.

Good guys is owned by jb so they should honour it
That's what good guys said and did when I tried to price match something for the same in jb

  • anyone knows it comes with window 11 home or Pro? every sites just saying it is windows 11. the kid's school insist pro

    • found it in officeworks Q&A… it is home~~ lol.

      • Came with win 10 pro and 1 year pro support on Amd version..not sure on Intel though.

    • What reason would the school have to require pro? Doesn't make much sense.

      • Bitlocker encryption? (sensitive data?)

Remote desktop server? (maybe for online class troubleshooting? anti-cheating for tests?)

Honestly seems a bit strange though

1.43 kg, what's the point of being 2 in 1? It's too heavy to use as tablet anyway. My 891g surface pro 8 is already a little too heavy as tablet.

Also there's no way I will use/buy/have a 16:9 ratio tablet unless I can get it for stupidly cheap.

I've gone from using a Samsung tab s6 to this and have been using it daily as a tablet, I much prefer this. When you rotate the keyboard it looks the keyboard out and fits perfectly in your lap

  • +1 from me for fighting and and getting it price matched from Jbhifi. It’s in their rules to get it price matched if a local store is offering it in a discounted price without applying any coupons. I personally fought with them to price match a camera long back, I had to get the store manager involved, but got it for the price I was after. Sometimes staff are ignorant or rude not to do so, but it’s the Ozbargain culture to remind them of the rules. Kudos. Happy new year.

  • I have the Ryzen 5 with 16GB and around 10 months on, still very happy. Such a lovely device to write on. It's certainly a budget surface, but with similar pen performance at half the price

  • is this the same laptop its cheaper at office works plus $30 cashback has bad reviews though https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-yog…

  • Can anyone tell me how you would connect to 2 monitors to this laptop?
Do you conect both displays to 2 usb type-c ports or connect to 1 and then in and out of the display to the next display?

I'm looking to replace my gen 1 surface book and dock with 2 displays.

    • USB C dock is the way to do it. Some laptops may do it straight from the ports but check if all the USB C ports support display output first.

      • Thanks for the help.

  • Anyone that ordered received any feedback on their orders yet?

    • yes, i ordered and picked mine up the day afterwards. What feedback are you after?

      • I ordered for delivery and receive confirmation of order but nothing since. They are not responding to message via the "help centre" and if you phone you just go into a loop of endless waiting.

edit - got through after a 30 minute wait -> no stock and no ETA.

      • How’s the laptop? Fan noise alright?

        • Sorry, haven't used it enough to find out. I've only opened it up to set up an account and browse a few things. It's for my daughter this year, so she'll find out later I guess if it's noisy

        • No issues from what I have seen to date. I also have the yoga carbon and that is loud
