Short EXP JAN/2022

Specifically formulated with men's health in mind, Men's Pro-Active Multi contains a range of vitamins and minerals plus herbs to help support reproductive system health in males, maintain healthy testosterone levels, help support general health and wellbeing and to help the conversion of food into energy.

A busy, energetic or stressful lifestyle can make it difficult to get all the right vitamins and minerals required from a healthy balanced diet. Many aspects of a modern lifestyle such as stress, smoking, alcohol intake, long working hours, skipped meals or meals on the run, and exposure to environmental pollution may mean that these much needed nutrients are being depleted in the body.

Men's Pro-Active Multi contains:

B vitamins : needed to release energy from food.
Antioxidants : nutrients such as natural betacarotene, lycopene, vitamins C & E and the minerals zinc and selenium are included to help to reduce free radical damage to body cells, generated daily through stress, pollution and exercise.
Tribulus : traditionally used to support men's sexual function.
Vitamin D : needed for calcium absorption.
Men's Pro-Active Multi is formulated without iron to compensate for men's reduced need for this mineral.

hmmmm, idk about the quality but I'll order a couple!

    • +6

Many of these multivitamin brands are the exact same ingredients made by the same contract manufacturing company.

      • +11

Also check the dosage against the RDI. These supplements are pointless if they only provide single digit % of the daily requirements.

Who knows where its from just eat real australian grown foods. There are no shortcuts to your health and wellbeing.

        • +2

JUST IN: Will kill Omicron. Instructions - using right hand whilst holding multi at the base, wack at least 30 of the spike proteins.

        • +1

          Stop complaining about $1.00

Il pay $3 for 6 months of placebo. At least I can say I'm being healthy right?

    • +25

These expire in January. I would take 1 tablet, 6 times a day to ensure maximum healthiness

    • +1

      An expired plan.

  • +2

I guess women can take these — assuming you’re not after the iron (which multi-type supplements don’t adequately treat anyway…)

    • +3

Come on Marge, maybe I'm not getting enough… Estrogen.

      • +3

These are vitamins, not hormones… thankfully!

    • +1

      I am a man taking women's multivitamins.

      • +1

        Enjoy the extra iron!

    • Women can do anything!

      • -1

        Yep… even produce testosterone

        • +1

The adrenal glands produce small quantities of testosterone in both men and women.

  • +15

Be careful as the company has some poor reviews especially around shipping times. I won't even mention Auspost delays. You could get an expired product when it finally arrives.

    • +5

Why did some gutless people neg you?

Seems valid to me so have a +1

      • +5

        I also gave you a +1

  • +4

What a lot of the cheaper brands do is give you all the nutrients you need but at super low doses, based on the 60 tablets, it's probably 2tablets a day, so 30 doses per bottle, so if you bought 4 bottles and took 8 tablets a day instead of 2, would still finish supply in 30 days and not be over the used by date, and only cost $4
I"m guessing at the dosage btw, I coudn't find it in description

EDIT: This contains 30mCg Selenium, max daily dosage from a supplement is 150mCg, so maximum tablets you could take is 5. Selenium is toxic in high doses

    • It's not wise to take take 5 tablets a day.
For example, if their selenium intake is already high from their diet.

    • -1

      Selenium

I wonder if I'm poisoned by it, at the beginning of 2020 I drank Frequent Flyer supplements daily for 2 weeks, started to get hair loss, and nail brittleness on both thumbs, could be coincidentally old age I guess.

    • You cant say sh't like that. Same id'ots will actually do it.
Now I'm suffering the worst constipation I have ever experienced :|

  • Thanks OP. Bought

  • Thanks OP!

make slightly more expensive urine- no thanks!

    • +8

Why… how much are you getting for your urine now?! Feeling a little bit jealous…

  • Thanks OP purchased.

  • Can't go wrong, ordered 2. Thanks OP

  • Bought one to boost my immune system

    • +3

There’s a tiny superhero in all of us…

  • +9

What is wrong with just eating a healthy diet? Rather than depending on all of this synthetic crap?
Sorry, but IMHO all of this hype about vitamins/supplements is a tremendous con job.
Once only needs to look at the plethora of manufacturers flogging their products at "fantastic" sales discounts of 50%+ to realise you are being conned.
The old saying "A fool and his money are easily parted" fits the supplements market to a tee.

    • +7

      Why not both?

    • +4

You definitely have a point—many nutritional supplements are expensive placebo, and it is typically better to receive your required nutrients from your diet. Supplementation is indicated in some circumstances, though in those cases it's usually better to supplement with the specific nutrient(s) in which you are deficient rather than use a multivitamin. Micronutrient interactions can both enhance or reduce absorption (e.g. zinc supplementation can inhibit iron absorption, vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid significantly enhances iron absorption) and toxicity is a possibility for certain minerals and fat-soluble vitamins, so it's preferable to speak to an expert (e.g. dietitian) before turning to a supplement if you have concerns about reaching those AIs/RDIs.

      • Good post. Many of us are deficient in magnesium. Vitamin D levels are probably a bit low, in general, too. And a third of women are technically anaemic. So there is definitely room for improvement

    • +1

Agreed. Vits and supplements can help support gaps in nutrition but i think it's important to check IF there is anything that you need to supplement and WHAT in particular you need to supplement, before just taking one. You may as well do it properly and take a supplement that best supports you, plus don't piss your money away if you don't need it. Get a bloodtest to check levels first and go from there.

      nonsense

  • +1

I know is only 1 Jan and everything, but what if this is the best deal of 2022?

I'm just ordering to see how long AusPost takes and how much the Postage is on a $1 item (less 3c from Shopback),

    • +3

what if this is the best deal of 2022?

Using the latest, cutting-edge Bayesian simulation, I estimate that the chance of this being the best deal of 2022 will converge on 1/365. If I were you, I’d buy right now or risk regretting it for the rest of your natural life

    • +2

You'll never get shopback anyway. Why would they start honouring clicks now?

  • Got a few. Thanks!

  • +6

For anyone that cares, these contain lactose monohydrate. A sugar from milk. So not good for vegans and not good for those with milk allergies

    • +1

Oh thank you so much. Pass!

    • So many tablets use lactose as a filler.

  • +1

It'll be a struggle with this company to get your money back. It was for me. I'm a total cheapass and I wouldnt buy this because of the hassle

  • Just for everyone's info Vitamin A in high doses can be very risky especially for women of child bearing age

  • It expires this month tho….

The effectiveness of the ingredients wouldn't even be worth taking it per day

    • +6

What exactly expires? Probably loses 5-10% of its efficacy…which is perfect as you normally pee out most of it anyway.

They basically have your rdi of zinc, which is good for your immune system (a little important at the moment).

I invested $2 into this venture!

      • I'm in for 2 bucks too.

I wonder how this endeavour will end.

  • -1

No worries now. Get this direct from Australian NaturalCare instead. plus postage though.
    https://ausnaturalcare.com.au/mens-proactive-multi

    • Min spend $50 for free postage tho?

  • +6

Nothing wrong with expired Vitamins. They may just be a little less potent, although the expiry date is usually conservative so it's probably still retaining full nutritional value.

    • 'Best before' is not 'use by'.

  • +1

    Can use as fertiliser

  • What happens after the best before date? Does it become ineffective? Or would there still be benefits to using these, say, 3 or 6 months after?

    • The answer is literally 2 comments above you.

    • +3

      They self destruct.

  • See what gets delivered for a dollar

  • Thanks OP.

  • +1

Very few multivitamins have low rdi of most ingredients. Mostly above especially the branded ones. In the UK they did a study comparing the leading brands to supermarket brands and guess what. Cheap brands were no worse for you. Top brands had way more rdi of most ingredients so just pissing your money down the toilet. If most people did a bit of research instead of guessing you would be very surprised. For example why is panadol brand still in business. 500mg of paracetamol is the same whether it's $5 a box or 80cents supermarket box. People just aren't very intelligent. Expiry date is rubbish to. These will be fine for months.

  • I use this brand for their Healthy Eyes and vit B. I've found those 2 to be very good :-)

    • Do you wear glasses?

      • Reading glasses. But I do a lot of computer work and my eyes aren't nearly as tired if I take 2 Healthy Eyes in the morning.

  • Bought 18 bottles. That’s me done for 3 years haha

  • Chinese Vitamins

  • Nope, Got the tracking no. but still no updates on it. What a crock.

  • +1

what a wild journey this bottle has gone through

  • Weird, showing as delivered but nowhere to be found. I ordered a lot of things from ebay between xmas and now and everything else has arrived.

I've seen aus post leaving parcels in front of the building so this could be why but how to prove they never arrived?

  • +1

    Got mine 👍

    • Peeing yellow yet like the rest of us? ;-) #worthit

  • Got mine. Tablets are huge compared to the daily natures way ones i usually take.
