Home Brew Columbus Hops (CTZ) 2020 100gm $6.80 + Shipping @ The Yeast Platform

190

Columbus hops also known as CTZ 100gm vacuum sealed packs $6.80 + shipping.

A variety of sizes available plus many other products.

Yeast packs are running low due to wholesalers being closed over this period. Top up order should hopefully come within the week.

The Yeast Platform thrives itself on making Home brewing ingredients affordable.

Columbus CTZ is a staple in my brews. Recently placing 3rd for a single hopped CTZ Golden Ale for its category in this year's QLD Amature comp. Eventually securing 8th for the national comp.

Are they whole flowers or pellets?

    • Pellets

  • Ordered an hour ago and just got notice it's been shipped. Wish all businesses were run this way. Cheers

    • Not all businesses can put a 100 gram packet into a envelope and drop it off at a post office unfortunately.

Pretty sure most of the time this just means they've created a shipping label online.

  • Does this count towards the

Free shipping on Yeast when you spend over $30

    If so, plug it!

    • Unfortunately no. Free shipping is on yeast only orders

  • I have that coopers vat to make beer. What do I need from your site? Genuine question. Besides these hops?

    • You're going to need hops and yeast, but also malt extract (I'm guessing you don't have equipment for all grain and this is what the Cooper's kit came with originally) which you'll need to get from somewhere else.

  • Hey op, do you guys sell any low alcohol yeast strains?

    • Hi Zoner. The demand is mega low for it. However I do have access to it in bulk. Flick me an email on my contact if you want some special ordered.

      • Thanks OP, what would be considered bulk? no use for myself buying bulk when I only make 10 brews a year

  • Crap I accidentally downvoted and can't revoke it. Can a mod fix that up for me?

EDIT: Figured it out! For anyone else interested you click the "Votes" button in the top ribbon and can revoke from there.

  • doesnt ship to WA?

    • Do you live in a remote or rural area? If so express post is probably your best bet with Aus Post. Standard shipping is with a courier that may not get to your area

      • no metro area, your website says it can't ship to my area, postcode 6027

        • Try again. It should work

  • How are these packaged and stored? Since they're 2020 crop are these better for bittering additions?

  • Each pack is vacuum packed and refrigerated. Each year's harvest will always have a difference to the last but I've been using 2020 for both and bittering and aroma. It's a pretty pungent hop variety for aroma though

    • Thanks pointy. I was more asking since these are 12 months old (and stored at fridge temps) whether they've lost aroma. I assume their AA% would have dropped too reducing bittering effectiveness, but can add more to compensate…
