  • Seems good. But I bought one of the Bing Lee Lenovos for $718 from 2 weeks back due to:
QHD screen and 13.3.inch so easier to carry
    Longer Battery life
    USB C charging

This deal does have more RAM though and possible better Warranty. And of course the Ryzen 5700 vs i5

    meh.

Shame you probably can’t return it, this is a way better deal!

    • That's a pretty sweet deal. The closest to that deal was a 6 core Ryzen 5600u, QHD screen, Nvidia mx450, 16gb Ram and 512gb ssd for around $1048 mid last year.

Prior to that, there was a non dGPU version for $974 in 2020.

  • Any education store deals for similar units with touchscreen?

    • There was one just prior to the new year. It may happen again for back to school.

    • you can go with Flex AMD R5 or R7 15"
      use same promo code.

      • Thanks. Wow though.. 2c i3 version with 8gb ram.. on ebay with upcoming code is $850 (not sure on lenovo edu store price). I'm not sure a 2c4t cpu is going to be ok. The 8gb ram is probably just ok.

The one in this thread is SO much better.. if only it had touch!

  • Do these support Windows Hello or is that not hardware specific and OS only?

    • +2

Don't know if this one supports it but it is hardware specific. Not every webcam is accepted

    • +1

Normally Windows Hello would use a camera with IR capabilities. Because this laptop has a Fingerprint Reader, I'm assuming it would use this method instead.

      • Windows Hello also works with fingerprint and other forms of alternative/biometric authentication (I believe ID cards too? [citation needed])

Who the heck wants windows hello?

  • +1

me if that's ok with you

  • Sir, is this a good deal? Lenovo Flex 5 14" FHD 2-in-1 Laptop (256GB) Ryzen 5 $856
