Homebrand Fruity Rings 400g $0.40 @ Woolworths Coburg

50

In the clearance shelf down the rear right of the store, Homebrand Fruity Rings are being discounted from $2.99 to $0.40 due to the impending expiry date (17 Apr 2012). I bought a pack and they're fine - no different to normal, still quite soft and chewy as I'd expect them to be.

It's a store specific deal, but since there were ~20-25 packets available, I thought it could be worth sharing for those of you who still crave sugar after Easter, but can't bear the thought of more chocolate.

Oh, and these are NOT the ones with bonus metal wire fragments. I know you'll be disappointed about the lack of free gift with this deal… ;-)

(discovered when I did a search for a page to include as the URL since it was store specific)

    • Damn! The bonus metal wire fragments that could potentially shred your insides were the best part! Neg!

      :P

(Actually, with all the sugar and colouring in these things, I'm sure they could mess up your insides if you ate them often enough, regardless of any metal wire fragments!)

    • It's a prize just like a jagged metal Krusty-O

These taste awful…not sure why we got them, maybe for a treat many months ago, and they are still sitting in the cupboard!

      Yep sugar coated cardboard!

      • I guarantee they offer one hell of a sugar rush. I was snacking on them between 12am - 2am last night whilst working on the computer. Went to bed and lay there staring at the ceiling, hyped up on sugar for an additional 2 hours.

Could be a good deal for students who need to stay up all night and cram before exams? ;-)

    • Wouldnt take even if its free.

  • Perfect to feed the kids before handing them over to the grandparents……
That'll teach 'em for claiming I was such a horror child.
