yeah, I did not want to wake up thinking about brown stuff in Dubai
I had the real one in Dubai and doesn’t taste that great compared to some good old Cadbury here
Cadbury doesn't taste greate anymore compared to good old Cadbury.
Sadly, Cadbury is probably one of the worst chocolates you can buy these days
Better than Hershey's though?
Like comparing syphilis to gonorrhea.
Sounds like you had the original Dubai chocolate…
Shows you how effective the influencer hype train is. They could sell sand to the Arabs. Peoples sense of taste are now linked to how good a product looks on a social media post and how much it's promoted by influencers, not to how it actually tastes!
Been disappointed enough times with restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food products, to now just avoid anything I see over hyped by influencers.
good old Cadbury here
I no longer trust your opinion. Sorry bud.
This one's manufactured in Germany, the original one is made in Túrkéyēh. Meanwhile, Dubai is like "We make chocolate?" 🤷🏽♂️
Let me rephrase it for you, this is Lindt style Dubai chocolate. Filling what makes it Dubai.
Filling what makes it Dubai.
The filling is not from Dubai…
The whole thing is an SEO exercise to distract from the original Dubai “chocolate”
Hah, I hadn't considered that, but good shout.
Just like Disney's Frozen movie.
Túrkéyēh?
Türkî-yéãh 🦃
Wow. Shocked they couldn't sell at $140 per kilo
the kataifi pastry is cheaper than chocolate, and pistachios are cheaper than chocolate per kg, so not sure why not the normal price of a chocolate block , surely “dubai style” can’t be trade marked and needs to be licensed to make pistachio filled chocolate? What is next “ Brazil style” chocolate with brazil nuts ….
Dubai? Is it made by slaves?
They're paid better than in Chyna.
Nets around the side of the buildings indicate same diff.
They pay for nets?!
made by women, that a bit like slaves in dubai ?
halve it again and might consider trying it
Half it again it's only 72.5g left and for $10 must be only Dubaians can afford it…. LOL
Too fancy, too high-end. Don't think they're ready for the mass market yet. They must think us crazy.
Seen them for $20 at ColesWorth for a few weeks already, have not noticed stock levels move much.
If they kept going at $20 a pop they will end up having to give them away as the best before date approaches.I tried Coles one (for $20 out of curiosity). not much fluffy as videos. But it is good.
Please hand in your OzB membership.
Ha ha ha
I was in Asia and they were selling it for about $30
Best not look up Dubai Chocolate on Urban Dictionary…
💩 Too late…
Bought one today, it is nice but nothing amazing, very little pistachio taste. Even at $5 I am not sure i'd buy it again. All chocolate is so incredibly overpriced now.
"Dubai chocolate is a style of chocolate bar that has become a viral sensation, particularly on social media platforms like TikTok."
Ah, that's why I've never heard of it.
I've eaten Dubai chocolate, the Lindt Dubai style chocolate is like the Temu equivalent of buying a Michael Jordan authentic rookie card.
And how many dirhams was that? You are violating Ozbargain policies.
This stuff is all hype and taste meh. You will be very disappointed once you actually taste it.
tempted to try it if the price was right, like pistachio nuts but not willing to pay a premium for hype, should be the same price as other chocolate based on ingredients , at $10 might give it a go, though i’d normally only buy lindt when 1/2 price, that is regular 1/2 price not tik tok hyped 1/2 price.
At $10 if you're curious give it a go. I tried and was disappointed and lots of people seem to find it unappealing as well. Didn't live up to the hype at all.
This one is disappointment, tried it months ago at Melbourne DFO lindt store. The flavour is alright but it's very thin filling unlike the regular ones.
Pause.
