Can't say it is the cheapest around and no idea how good this is.
If you need a few packs, I found there is still stock (not sure for how long).

My total include shipping is $75.

  • 90% effective according to the TGA. With shipping that works out to be $15 which isn't cheap, but if you can't find them in stores, sure. I bought some from woolies in Sydney's eastern suburbs this morning for the same price. I think they're starting to trickle back into stores from what I've heard.

    • What is considered cheap then?

      • +1

They're often referred to as costing between $10 and 15 so I would say cheap is definitely less than $15..

      • Through a contact i was able to see the price per unit available to Victorian hospitals. They ranged from $4.5 to $7 each depending on which 1 you got. Id say under 10 would be good in the current market

        • FOB price is between .80 - $2 USD depending how many you buy obviously..

So you can work out that the markup is pretty good, at least until pressure becomes too much and the government decides to act

@johnunder: Government acts, becomes the middle man and then still sells them to you for $10, pocketing the difference with their ‘private’ buddies.

  • $55 +GST = $60.50
Shipping seems to be from $13.50+GST ($14.85)

So $15 each delivered (for a pack of 5)

    • I think they calculate GST on shipping too.

  • Yes, I don't think it's a great deal, however having some trouble finding any stock from local Chemist in Sydney. Just glad to find some..

    • The Healthy Life one all disappeared in 15 minutes..

      • From memory, this is cheaper than a roll of toilet paper back then right? 🤣

    They’re $4.90 retail in Singapore.

Well do they also have Scomo in Singapore?

    • But do they ship to Australia?

I bet they are even cheaper in South Korea and China. Doesn't mean jack if we can't actually get those prices landed in Australia.

      • They do shipt to Australia, but I can tell you straight it is not a great bargain.

Before Christmas, I thought about importing some from Korea for myself and my family, but abandoned the plan after discovering a) the only TSA approved self-test kits from Korea are the SD Biosensor ones, b) the sensitivity of those test kits is only "acceptable" according to TSA and c) after paying the express delivery, It works out as $120-ish for 12 test kits. Not a great bargain.

What frustrates me is that there are like 10 Korean companies which manufacture Covid-19 self test kits with the sensitivity raging from 80~95% for various different prices, yet only one company is approved in Australia for home use, which greatly limits options for people thinking of directly importing RAT from overseas.

    • And only RM4.50 ($1.50) in Malaysia. :(

Apparently the couriers in Malaysia were instructed not to ship any tests to Australia because it wasn't allowed by the Aus govt

$140 for 20 at Costco before Xmas. Not sure if they have jacked the price since though.

    • +1

Nope… picked up a box just before NYE, still $140.

      • Good to hear! I have a pack of 20 nasal tests waiting for me with a friend who grabbed them from Costco for me - $180 though for nasal.
