  • The fee for instant buying & selling is 0.5%

    • Correct, did you have a question about that?

      • +1

        That's alot higher than binance

        • +1

Yea it is higher but it is the lowest of any Aussie exchange and not everyone wants to use a platform like Binance, most people want a platform that is customer focused, easy to use and a platform they can actually get good customer support from.

          • @DigitalSurge: its lower than 1% exorbitant coinspot., what's ur fee for limit order selling/buying?

is there any fee from wallet transfer?

            • @[Deactivated]: Coinspot is 0.1% if you use the market section to execute trades

              • @DDLiu: I know, DS apparently charged the same 0.5% on both market and instant.

              • @DDLiu: This does not include spread though, our fees will always be cheaper then coinspot even if you are buying on their market vs our platform they have a very high spread %.

            • @[Deactivated]: Our fee is a flat 0.5%, market orders can drop down to 0.1% based on volume though. Wallet transfer fees are clearly displayed on the screen prior to process. Our fees are always clearly displayed before you proceed with anything. =) Also bare in mind it is not jut simply 1% vs 0.5% there is spread to consider as well and our spread is almost 300% cheaper then coinspot in most cases so the difference is extremely drastic.

              • @DigitalSurge: what about wallet to wallet transfer? what's the fee?

                • @[Deactivated]: All external wallet transfers fee is displayed on the screen on our platform before you proceed, as the fee is different for most coins so best to just have a look prior to sending.

                • @[Deactivated]: For BTC it is 0.0004 BTC so more than the $20 credit.

                  • @ValuexHunter: Thanks, that all I needed to know. Kraken now has PayID and BTC withdrawal is a flat 0.00002 BTC

                    • @cute as duck: Some bad reviews on reddit though

                      • @ValuexHunter: Who does, Kraken? Been using it now for a few months no issues. And certainly I have not heard much negative reviews on r/bitcoin

Now if only Strike would come to Australia, I would be all set

In goes a hectare of rainforest. Out comes $0.0003 in crypto.

There are many crypto assets are are eco friendly focused, if this is a concern for anyone then just be sure you only invest in those who follow the believes you do. =)

      • -4

There are many crypto assets are are eco friendly focused,

        Ah, no.

        • We would suggest you do some research on that.

          • +1

@DigitalSurge: I did research and found out Crypto is a ponzi and not an asset. None are eco friendly but some are less eco unfriendly than others.

    • GDP thus rose $0.0003, undermining your username….

      • That might be the reply of the day lol

      • -4

WOW. Let's burn the planet so we can pump those GDP numbers.

  • If I buy $20 of BTC or ETH with the bonus what is the fee to withdraw this as BTC or ETH to my hardware wallet?

    • +1

When you attempt to withdraw crypto we do clearly display the withdrawal fee, our fees are always transparently displayed. I do know however our BTC withdrawal fee is 0.0004 in regards to ETH please check on the platform.

    • +4

Too much to be worth it with direct withdrawal.
      You could however:
      1. Buy something with low transaction fees like Litecoin.
      2. Withdraw to BlockFi
      3. Swap to BTC or ETH on Blockfi
      4. Withdraw to wallet for free. (1 free crypto withdrawal per month)

(Note: other platforms might also work, but not many other support Litecoin, swaps (in Aus) and free withdrawals like BlockFi does)

Edit: for what its worth I used Digital Surge in past when they had this promo, but just $10. You have to weigh up fees vs other platforms, but free is free. Definitely a deal.

    • You can't. Minimum 0.001 BTC purchase and 0.0004 BTC wallet transfer fee.

  • How would I know I will get $20, there is no referral code to key in.

    • +1

It's automatic, the tracking is attached to the link that you click on this ozbargain post, once you signup & verify the $20 will come through automatically to your account value. =)

      • great thanks!

        • My pleasure anytime!

  • +1

    • Thanks for sharing, it's appreciated, these posts can't be successfully without people sharing their experience, we hope you dip your toe into the world of Crypto and check out the platform. =)

    • Same - thanks OP

  • What is the fee if deposit USDT and trade/withdraw AUD to my bank account?

  • At the moment we don't offer USDT but we will in the coming months. We operate currently on AUD pairing so you can deposit in AUD and trade directly with AUD and withdraw in it. This saves you on fee cost with platform that operate via USD pairing as you constantly lose money on conversion via fees and spread.

What is the fee if deposit bitcoin and trade/withdraw AUD to my bank account?

    • We have $0 deposit fees

      • Do you have XLM / AUD pairing?

Do you have fee withdraw AUD?

  • -8

How about you just paypal me the twenty dollardoos and save us all some time and effort?

  • great. sign up

    • Thanks!

  • Hi Rep, do you support TRC withdrawal for Ethereum?

    • We don't, all coins go over the coins mainnet.

  • Here's where my noob brain gets a bit confused, if I have some crypto (very tiny amount) in nice hash and in coinbase (only realised later you can't withdraw from there in Aus)… Can I transfer them to digital surge account or is it purely only for buying and selling crypto?

    • what do you mean you cannot withdraw from there in AUS? You can withdraw your balance to anywhere you like (exchange, your own wallet etc), unless your balance is too tiny and not meeting the withdrawal threshold ..

      • From what I can work out as a noob… I have bitcoin which then I need to sell to convert into actual money. In coinbase it said this isn't allowed in Australia… My somewhat bumbling around googling things didn't get me much of an idea what I'm meant to do if I wanted to sell it… (which I wanted to when bitcoin hit 90k but that boat sailed lol)…
        coinbase

        • I see, you meant you would like to exchange your crypto to AUD, then you were right, neither could offer you that… depending on your balance, you could transfer/send/withdraw your crypto balance with coinbase and nice hash to digital surge or FTX, Binance, and many others (coinspot, swyftx, luno etc) to sell for AUD however, there are gas fees as you would expect which could eat into your final fiat (AUD) balance…

    • Yes you can transfer your funds from coinbase to a Digital Surge wallet. =)

      • Thank you :) signed up .. i now understand what is happening hehe

        Thanks again everyone…

        • Awesome! =) Just reach out to our live chat support if you ever have further questions or need help with anything else.

  • Signed up, was the super quick to verify and instantly got the $20 :)

    • Awesome, enjoy and invest wisely! ;)

  • Cheers. Worked for me too. Took less than 3mins overall :)

    • Awesome glad to hear that and you're welcome!

  • What about withdrawing aud to a bank account what kind of fee would that be?

    • 100% fee, $0 fees and we offer instant deposit & withdrawals fees.

  • Thanks for the freebie. Dropped the dollars into ATOM to HODL for the long term.

Any scope to earn rewards on staking in the future?

    • +1

Great choices! Yea we aiming to add staking hopefully first half of this year, currently we are working on some other major new features such as swaps, USD pairs and a bunch of other cool things prior to adding staking.

Lacking any better clue about how to use the $20 sign-up bonus, I have copied this strategy.

  • I have been using DS as a platform for some time now. Signed up during the last promo offer.
I can vouch its a great platform with superb customer services. Also like the app which lets us put in trigger orders.
I primarily used coinbase which has exorbitant fees (3.4%) whereas DS as it around (0.5%).
One drawback that I have found for this platform is that I was unable to find SHIB which I wanted to invest it.

    • I primarily used coinbase which has exorbitant fees (3.4%) whereas DS as it around (0.5%).

Use Coinbase Pro, same login and fees are extremely low compared to the normal Coinbase.

One drawback that I have found for this platform is that I was unable to find SHIB which I wanted to invest it.

      Best to avoid meme coins.

  • Confirming that this works. I don't know if anyone else was confused but I was under the impression that I'd be getting $20 worth of cryptocurrency in my wallet, as the title suggests. However, it's just that my account got filled with $20 cash which it appears I can do whatever I want with.. I mean, it's free cash..

    • Yes that's correct you can then purchase any crypto asset you want, we thought that would be preferred to give you more flexibility =)

  • Digital Surge is an awesome platform. Plenty of coins (300+) and all the popular ones. Instant replies on live chat. Great app + website.

My only negative experience is that it cost me 0.0004 BTC to withdraw whereas other exchanges have always cost me 0.0003 BTC.

Also, Store Rep, please add the CRYPTO20 (C20) token! It's rank ~300 at the moment, so hopefully it gets added soon.

    • My only negative experience is that it cost me 0.0004 BTC to withdraw whereas other exchanges have always cost me 0.0003 BTC

Use Kraken instead. Only 0.00002 BTC (like AU1.20) withdrawal fees and has PayID. Trade fees comparable to Binance without the 0.0005 BTC withdrawal fee. Use Kraken Pro app for even lower fees (same login)

      • Hey, can you explain to me how to buy BTC on Kraken? I went through the quickbuy method using a credit card, and buying $200 worth was like $12 more than what the normal exchange rate was.

I assume you need to add funds by payID or bank transfer, and then buy through the proper exchange to get normal fees, right?

Would be much appreciated as I invest in crypto regularly and 0.0003 and 0.0004 BTC fees hurt badly ($18-24) each time I withdraw.

        • Hi, yes you send funds to Kraken via PayID/OSKO to avoid credit card surcharges.

I don't use a quickbuy option, I do market buys:

          • Download Kraken Pro app, deposit funds using PayID/Osko (usually takes a minute or two to reflect on Kraken)
          • Click "Markets" at bottom on app
          • Find the BTC/AUD pairing and go into it
          • Click "New Order" at the bottom
          • Change "Limit" to "Market" underneath the price of Bitcoin, or leave as "Market" if that is the default option
          • Select "100%" and click "Buy BTC"
          • Final screen shows the fees and amount you will get, and hit buy using the AUD you deposited
  • Lol I messed up bad. I signed up with a referral code. f me.

    • Reach out to our support team we can sort it out for you and still get you your $20 signup bonus. =)

      • Thank you! I will take you up on that.

        • My pleasure take care!

  • thanks just signed up. nice website and UI.

    • Thanks glad you like it, invest smartly! =)
