Had a look at some games and accessories that I knew were not part of previous promo and they are now marked down. (eg Star Wars Kinect now $41.97 was $59.95)

    With the 20% refund from MS, this makes most of the Xbox accessories on par with UK prices. You do however have to wait for MS to issue the refund …..

      I just went to my local DSE and got Red Dead Redemption which was advertised as $5 for $3.50, so it did scan at the advertised price.

      So NER.

      I'm not sure a leaked internal sales memo counts as 'advertised prices'. The only mistake I saw was the DSE rep here saying the sale was real without clarifying. I'm not sure why people expected each store to have hundreds of 80% off consoles, it was obviously an end of life stock clearance.

    Does this 30% off include discounted items on the DSE Site?

    E.g.

    Wii controller with motion plus is discounted to 41.xx so therefore another 30% off or is it included as the
    "already advertised catalogue lines in our Game On brochure"…

    I was so dissapointed… got up early to finally get some deals at the Knox City store… Apparantly they weren't notified about this sale and cannot sell items at the advertised price because they are "closing down"… everything was full price!! mega sigh

    So a note to everyone, Knox City DSE is not running the sale!

    I posted this on another OzBargain page but it probably has more relevance here. I just went in (vic gardens) and they had more gaming titles on special, though very limited. Picked up Uncharted 1 & 2 collectors pack for $7!! Also got Medal of Honor ($3.5) and Fracture ($2) for the hell of it. So that's 4 PS3 games for $12.50. I checked stock levels online and called to confirm they had it before I went in. The prices online already seem to have the 30% markdown listed. ie Uncharted Twin pack was $10 (which I think was already the discounted price) down to $7.

    The guy at the counter warned me and said that prices will probably not match what the website says….to my advantage they scanned in much less than the website! :)

    Even thought it may have been an "Unauthorised leaking of an internal price list" but that didn't stop DSE from confirming it on their Facebook page. That was their mistake IMHO.

    However, this is OzBargain and they are giving 30% off to people who can get a hold of their stuffs, so +1.

    The weird thing is that some sale games get the 30%, some don't. I just bought Wii Sports Resort (another copy) that got the discount, but the TDK $5 headphones and Prince of Persia didn't. Odd system.

    I don't work for DSE btw; so no I don't have the Xbox 360/PS3 you wanted.

    Seems to me DSE definitely held some stock in reserve for the 11th because my local branch (DSE Innaloo), which was picked clean after the madness that ensued on that fateful day, April the 2nd, and had virtually nothing of value; today had a decent assortment of PC/360/PS3 titles.

    I saw numerous copies of Rage, Assassins Creed Revelations, Saints Row 3, L.A. Noire, Bat Arkham City, Call of Juarez, Uncharted, Dead Island, Driver San Francisco, GTA IV, COD MW3 & Black Ops, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption, as well as a huge amount of Wii crap including controllers and covers, all selling at the announced discounted prices that the leaked sales list had.

    So there definitely are some bargains still to be snapped up.

    On another note; I saw the first closed DSE branch so far in WA. Excuse me while I play a tune for DSE on the world's smallest violin.

    Really happy with today's purchases, the best of which was Rayman Origins Wii for $10.
    No crowds at all, went at about 9.30am and there were only a couple of other guys like me quickly grabbing all the cheap stuff.

    i went crazy at my local, so much stock so little ozbargainers :)

    I got heaps of stuff under $10 and even got stuff they mispriced like Rayman Orgins xbox for $10 !

    Got the Sony bluetooth headset for $10, got the uncharted twin pack for $7, got Red Dead redemtion for $3.50, got the Fitness evolution for $10, got the UFC trainer for $10, the Retch and Clank $10, Fifia 11 for $3.50, a few Singstars for $2 and even a Wii fitness mat for $1

    and then there were the DVD TV series boxset for $5 each!!!

    I must spent $200 cause I got bags and bags of stuff!
