    Hard pass

    • +1

Why is that? Are they no good?

      • +44

It's itech. look at this past price errors

        • +6

          Free advertising

          • -1

@JayCeeJay: Data mining at its best, they get your name and shipping address for free. You still get your money back tru refund.

            its legit tho.

    • +24

As opposed to a solid state pass?

    • +15

Why do these deals get mega upvoted despite guaranteed not a single one is honoured.

Y'all should be mega negging it instead.

      • +2

Except for that drone bunnings deal, which just means, if it's a massive national company, price errors are legit deals.

But tiny i-tech? You're All dreaming mates.

Also they have a long history of price errors with zero honours, so lol

  • +1

    $15 shipping to Adelaide

    • +1

      Same shipping to Melbourne

  • +4

It feels like all 3 of those sites are run by the same people…ordered 1, might get lucky :-)

    • -1

surely they wouldn't make a pricing error on all 3 sites if that was the case?

      • +16

        Probably automated

      • +9

Probably all using one database/api with different front ends.

      • Possible mistake could've been made at the disty & these sites just pull the feed.
Might find other retailers with it for that price.

    • They all have a different ABN

      • +20

        means nothing.

      • +1

        ABNs are like usernames

  • Is this an external HDD or internal ?

  • +1

Used link for deal, added 2 to basket abs checked out with PayPal. Will see what happens.

    Thanks all.

    update
Have received an order email from I-Tech, so that’s another step to the possible cancellation and refund.

I also noted that the part number is for the Pro version of the ironwolf so that’s a bounds too if it comes off.

    • +14

What? you still would of received an order email from I-Tech if it was honoured. So this only tells you the order was received.

    • I ordered two as well and got a confirmation order.

      I'll see how it goes.

  • -2

Ordered 4. Likely to get cancelled

    • +15

The Big Winner has to be PayPal. They still pocket around $1.80 for each hard drive order.

      • Is that not part of the refund?

        • Unfortunately no

        • +2

Buyer gets the full refund but the seller still pays that fee.

          • @Gizardry: Much cheaper than Ads.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Grabbed one for my Plex server.

    • Same here!

    • +4

      It ain't coming bro

    • -2

lol you just gave them your name and address for their data mining project

  • Ordered 4 too. Hopefully don’t get canceled

    • +6

      Hopefully don’t get canceled

      It will.

  • So about the same price at 3 different stores (although seemingly run by the same people). What's wrong with them that are so cheap? Umart has them for $225.

    • +4

      Supplier price error

    • +1

the connection to pricing from distributors and warehouses tend to be automated these days.
A retailer could not be competitive if labor was spent to update every products pricing and stock levels.

  • -1

Ordered 4 lets see approx 40 per drive

    • -3

lol you just gave them your name and address for their data mining project and they will sell your name and address to china

  • +2

its missing a 1 or 2 in front of the $36

  • Ordered 2, was charged, but cart threw a PayPal token error and I haven't received an order confirmation, and there are still 2 in my cart? Not sure what to do

    • Got the same error the first time i tried checking out with PP. Gave it another go and it worked the second time.

      • Did you get charged twice?

        • PP account showing only charged once.

      • Ah yeah a "refund" ended up coming through, PayPal must have figured out it didn't go through, was probably just a hold on the funds or something.

Tried to order again and all good now :)

    • Same

    • Same, got charged 2x. I’ll wait to see if the first one that failed gets refunded. Second worked

  • +38

    lol enjoy ur cancellations

    • -2

      Butthurt people brigading your comment

      • +6

It's like the highest voted comment.

      • +1

Seems the actual Butthurt people are brigading YOUR comment @Jperez

Don't worry, we'll turn that around from the -4 to something positive soon as you deserve!

    • +3

Not like any of my plans haven't been cancelled in the last 2 years. Used to it now.

  • +9

Hoping the error was done by the owner, otherwise someone will spend days cancelling orders

  • Bought 2. Will see what will happen.

  • Ordered 4 after a few failures with PayPal, let's see how it goes!

  • Ordered 4. Worth a try. Used PayPal to be safe.

  • +1

    Purchased.

Now lets see if it gets cancelled & they take the 2% paypal surcharge……..

    • -2

you just gave them your name and address for their data mining project.

  • Bought 2. Expecting an order cancellation :')

  • +1

Bought 4, 2 from each store. Let's see what will happen.

    • -1

Same here. Hard to resist a bargain ;-)

Have email confirmations, so let's see if it eventuates. If it does, my old HP-Proliant Microserver will be happy.

      • +1

not a bargain if these stores have never honoured price errors in the past. This is just a bait for your email address.

  • When I go to checkout the page keeps loading…

  • Thanks, I also got 4 for $170.34 shipped inc visa fee

  • +1

Ended up buying 6 in total, 4 from itech, 1 each from auspcmarket and techstoreco.

Let’s see what happens… if it all goes bad PayPal should have some protection mechanism in place right?

  • -1

    Bought 2, fingers crossed.

  • +20

Alot of price errors from i-Tech, see the previous 7 here.

    • +4

Thanks, it appears they have a reputation for pricing error so I'll save my time and efforts not ordering it.

      • +7

Then it turns out this is one of the time that they honour their deals.

        • if they didn't honour the mobile phone cover error ,highly doubt they're honour a $400 RRP HDD

    • +1

I am afraid somebody is gonna get sacked soon

    • I think they should ban this store.

  • +2

Grabbed 2 via auspcmarket using PP… worth a shot!

    • Thanks for the heads up, figured worth a shot instead of flooding itech haha

    • auspcmarket pricing is now $249. Sold out. Most likely $36 is pricing error

    • +5

auspcmarket has processed the Paypal refund…

"Hi, Unfortunately due to a technical issue, there has been a pricing discrepancy for this product. Due to this issue, we're unable to fulfill your order and have issued you with a full refund back to your original payment method. This typically takes between 2-24hours to process. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, AusPCMarket."

      • Yeap same here, game over on the OzBargain game this time ;)

  • Thanks, was looking to use as external jard drive, but shipping cost + cost of an external 3.5 case takes it too close to the price im willing to pay for a 2.5 4tb drive, just for portability. Otherwise, great option for those with NAS

  • I just checked out with one. Worth a try

    • so you paid $59 with shipping?

  • +1

Can these be used for ps5 as external?

    • Would love to know also
