Nearly identical product for $58.07 after 20% coupon
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07VMXHTPX/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • Do these products have patent? How come different manufacturers can make the identical product with different brands?

      • Alot of brands purchase from the same Chinese manufacturer and then slap there branding on it.

Its much like alot of the cheaper smart home devices that have flooded through the Aus market.

Take for example connect smart and laser smart.
Alot of there smart bulbs are pretty much identical, run on the same platform, have the same specs.

      • If the same technology was available 20 years ago, then all the technology is out of patent protection.

It's called white-labelling, and it is extremely common in every industry.
For example, Hikvision makes some cameras for Panasonic, Hitachi, Honeywell, Hyundai, Nellys, Toshiba and more. They actually own EZVIZ.
Dahua owns Lorex, and make cameras for Honeywell, Panasonic and many more.

There are only a handful of actual security camera manufacturers and thousands of security camera BRANDS.

That one also has “built in thunder protection”. Glad I don’t have to worry about loud noises hurting my camera.

There is also a built-in thunder protection chip, Never no worry about thunder that will damage the camera

Highly rate this because of the auto tracking.

At night time the lights come on and will keep strangers at bay as it follows them.

    Gonna grab a few more.

    • i have it, not as accurate as other companies, and the flood lights come on far to randomly.
Ended up ditching it, going for a more integrated system that works with each other.

      • I have 16 integrated cameras but nothing as "intimidating"

        • yeah nah, with current era of smart homes, i had to ditch it, much prefer other brands that now have google assist.
each to their home, i have 2 of these, which are now in the garage.

  • i was thinking of having 4 installed. how does it centralize the recording?

    • just 4?

      • i would like more but my house is very small :P hahaha. i'm assuming these units have SD cards in them or something?

        • no idea

        • The camera supports up to 128GB microSD card.

          • @VincentWang2018: so i need a microSD per camera? does it have the ability to connect to a central PVR?

            • @kamikaze_ozbargain: Yes, each camera needs a micro sd card to save video. not 100% sure nor guaranteed, but you could try ONVIF way to connect to the central PVR.

              • @VincentWang2018: Vincent, what is the app that goes with this ? Is there a video on youtube that shows the camera and its features. Or similar.

How do we retrieve the videos from SD card, can it be done via app or has to be physically removed and downloaded ?
