Hi,

For those who keep aquarium fish. I recently spotted this deal. It was $56.09 and there is a vouchers for another 10% off on amazon and this bring it to a total of $50.73. I think it is the cheapest for this device in a while. Below is the spec from amazon direct -

[Dual Relays for Prevent Overheating] ➥The aquarium temperature controller is equipped with 2 relays to ensure that the power can be turned off under any circumstances, this will protect your fish from being hurt by overheated water.

[Two Temperature Probes Protection for Preventing Probe Malfunction] ➥The dual probe aquarium temperature controller will alarm if the temperature difference between 2 probes is bigger than 3℃/5℉, and the app will push a notification at the same time. Your fish might be in danger as it is hard to know the probe is broken immediately if the temperature controller has only 1 probe.

[Exceptions ALARM APP Notification] ➥Pair the aquarium temperature controller with your phone via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, the device will alarm if there are exceptions. And all exceptions will be updated to the APP, the app will push notifications to remind you.

[Continuous Heating ALARM] ➥The heating time can be set according to your needs from 1 hour to 72 hours, the controller will alarm if water can not be heated to the setting temperature within the specified time. The temperature setting range is 20.0℃~35.0℃/68.0℉~95.0℉ and the detectable temperature range is -40℃~100℃/-40℉~212℉.

[2400W Plug and Play Design] ➥The 2400w high-power aquarium temperature controller is compatible with most kinds of heaters, you don’t need to assemble the product yourself, just plug and play.

Cant comment on the use of this specifically but I used a similar Inkbird product for my homebrew setup and it worked brilliantly.

    • Interested in homebrew use.

Which model do you use & what temp. range do you get from it?

All my gear is in storage so I can't remember the exact details, but I was using an old fridge (plugged in via the inkbird) and a heatbelt also attached to the inkbird around the wort (Inkbird ITC-308), got my temperature control near perfect that way and made a huge difference to my brew

  • Could this be used to monitor temp for a pool?

    • In theory sure.. but because this was designed with smaller applications in mind the power cable and sensor cables are probably quite short so you’d have the sensor and power cable and (most worryingly) the power sockets quite close to the pool.. which would be a major hazard. I suspect you can find a more appropriate device with a little searching.

Good for controlling fans and heating for indoor hydroponic Columbian Oregano.

Paid $42 the other month. Use these on 3 tanks.

I went through another seller not inkbird.

  • Would love to know if this has an esp32/8266 in it and can be tasmotised.
Edit- this one maybe not, but the ITC-308 can be!

  • Can’t seem to locate the 10% off voucher?

  • Whats the use case for these, other than the temp alarm notifications? Most aquarium heaters and chillers already have thermostats in them.

    • The thermostats on heater or chiller are not reliable and are not accurate. This unit act as an additional overheating protection just in case the heater or chiller failed. sometime also notify you when you forget to plug in the heater during the water change.
