Cheapest Energy Provider in Sydney Metro

Hello there,
Just moved to Sydney CBD (studio - 1 person). I am looking for an energy provider. This is my first time so I am literally clueless.
I googled a bit and found reamped advance might be the cheapest (used the government website).
Any other cheaper options?
Also, is there anything I should know or do/avoid?
Thanks!

Open up spreadsheet, put in your average usage from bill, put in the choices. Realise that you madeenergyhard.

Just remember to shop around every 6/12 months

Don't forget to check whether you can claim a referral code from your providor of choice from OzBargain

    use Ozbargainer referrals

    • This. Also following tips:

      1. Find if you have gas (e.g.for centralised gas hot water). If so, find plans that offer duel fuel discount

      2. If someone calls you and offer to connect you, kindly decline. They receive commission and I find the plans they connect me to uncompetitive. You might as well apply through Cashreward and get parts of that commission back.

      3. You can arrange energy provider after you move in. Don't stress, you won't live in the dark for a week

      4. As a singly, find plans with low supply rate first. Unless you mine crypto your usage is likely to be low. These will lead to cheaper bills

I looked recently, reampedenergy is the cheapest I found. There is a plan that requires prepayment but has cheap rates.

Please look out for referrals which offer $50 both people.

Use the link here to PM another Ozbargainer for a code.

I just switched to reampedenergy and paid my first monthly bill which seems to be cheaper than bills with Agl before. And also got my 50$ egift card yesterday. Let’s see how it goes for rest of the year.
