    LOL TopBuy…. nuff said.

Rather pay eGlobal an extra $25 - http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/samsung-i9100-galaxy…

At least eGlobal's phones won't take a year to arrive.

    • Good price though.

    • Was seriously considering purchasing from TopBuy. Can you describe to me their history and why you'd rather pay extra? Their delivery expectations state ~7 days.

"Cheapest Samsung Galaxy S2 or SII I9100" Same phone.

  • I hear the new one is comming out next month (rumoured may 22).

You rekon this is the discounted price? or will more come?

    • Telstra already have the 4g Galaxy S2. That the one you mean, or the S3?

G'day, we here at TopBuy sell a lot of electronics gear like latest cameras, phones and other items. One of the reason we can do the volume is because we try to provide exceptionaly priced and wide range of products (over 100K SKUs), and we get many referrals from existing customers.
Whilst our intent is good but from time to time we can't make every customer happy and there are other issues like delivery are out of our control. From the feedbacks from our customers and WP posts we have learnt valuable feedbacks, and have put in many changes to manage customers expectation and ensure more information is provided each step of the transaction.
We may have a thousand happy customers, but they would never say anything, like this post here from Bargainaholic http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67677
But the negative comments seems to catch people's attention more.
For electronics products, we operate in a ultra competitive market, it is impossible to please everyone request such as full refund after 6 months of usage, or provide 1-2 days express shipping from overseas, but we always want to provide reasonable resolution to customers.
Please rest assured that every customer is important to us, and we take all complaints seriously.

Most people would agree the majority of happy customers do not post +ve feedbacks on the internet.

Unhappy customers tend to post -ve feedbacks to vent their anger, but we need to look at them in perspective to the overall number of orders we are shipping on a daily basis, the "good" cases far outweigh the rare problem cases, and most of them are due to courier / delivery company issues.

We work very hard to make sure every transaction goes smoothly. However life is not perfect, we are not perfect, occasionally things can go wrong, and we have always worked with our customers to find solutions for every case, no one is left out.

To convince you is simple, email me directly and I would invite you pick ANY one of the 100s +ve feedback on our testmonial's page, and I will put you in contact with that customer directly so you can verify their +ve experience (have to check with that customer for their permission to pass their contact details to you first, of course.)

Unlike eBay, there is no official avenue for happy customers to post their experiences other than our Feedback page, and most OZB users probably too synical to believe the testmonials, hence my offer of you randomly pick any testmonial we have received and for you to check for yourself the +ve feedbacks are genuine.

ps. Expensive items like cameras and phones are shipped with world class courier companies via air express service, delays and lost in transit is almost non existent.

Delayed and lost deliveries mainly occure on sub $10 item shipments where the postage is only $1-$3 via regular post service.

"Unhappy customers tend to post -ve feedbacks"…"and most of them are due to courier / delivery company issues."

In all seriousness, are you reading the same whirlpool post???
Most of the complaints I read in the 63 pages of posts (is that some sort of record?) are NOT about delivery delays so much as they are about dealing with your company - even the very first post was not so much about the delivery delay but the fact that you failed to keep your promise of "Pre-Christmas Delivery" and then tried to charge the customer a $49 return fee for a failed promise…
This fee was apparently later reduced to $18, but in the response to this problem by your company, the issue wasn't really addressed directly - if you were serious about your Pre-Christmas Guarantee, you should NOT have charged anything for the return of product that was delivered late…

I think the major issue most customers seem to be complaining about, even in the 2012 responses, is POOR COMMUNICATION…

It would actually be more interesting to see if a random sample of 'UNHAPPY' customers ever got satisfaction in the end or not, and if they did, how many hoops did they have jump through to get it ;-)

  • PPFFFTTT to topbuy they tried to bait and switch me on a Motorola Milestone 2 .. it was listed for a very good price ..i paid.. waited ..waited..waited.. NO PHONE so i enquired what was going on …oh we cant sell it to THAT CHEAP…. lol what a joke company…my advise…DONT BUY FROM TOPBUY at least till they learn a few things…like honesty,on-time delivery, reply promptly to emails and most importantly DONT LIE TO CUSTOMERS!!!
