Demand for Apple products has collapsed over the last year in China, for both economic and nationalist reasons. I expect Apple will dumping a lot of China made phones into non-US markets this quarter to get rid of them.

I think I'll just get a Pixel 9a for $850 for now (need something now) and wait for the iPhone Air (want small form factor).
i don't think the air is going to be small form factor but is likely to be thin which will ultimately perform significantly worse (battery/ thermals) if you want a smaller phone the regular non pro max should be smaller than the air. could just get 16 pro (non max) they have went on sale for around 1500 once price matched at officeworks from costco

@0jay: i meant according to leaks the air is skinnier but is the bigger phone in terms of width and height when compared to a regualr size model (not max) models, but it should be smaller than a 16 pro max
