  • Still showing $59.99

    • You have to apply the 28% off coupon.

  • How far does it extend coverage? I couldn't find that info anywhere on the page.

  • This makes a new 'network', which isn't really a true extender.

    • +2

Actually an extender always made a secondary network
New systems like mesh WiFi will extend your existing network

    • Can't you just change the SSID to match your existing network? Probably need to manually change the wifi channel too.

Wavlink have a terrible security history that seems almost deliberate, just google wavlink backdoor you should find plenty

Found an article here. Looks dodgy as, neg.

Besides the Walmart-exclusive Jetstream router, the cybersecurity research team also discovered that low-cost Wavlink routers, normally sold on Amazon or eBay, have similar backdoors. The Wavlink routers also contain a script that lists nearby wifi and has the capability to connect to those networks.

Got one a year ago -
    1) it gets really hot
    2) when you set SSID the same as the main network, some devices lose connection every 1-3 hours (as I understand, when key expires, and there is no setting to change rekey interval)
    3) when you select some channels, it just stops working until you reboot it
    4) some channels are unavailable for selection at all. Unfortunately, I needed those, so I changed it bypassing frontend check (with devtools in browser). After that, it's not starting up at all, and factory reset procedure does not help.

So it ended up in garbage bin. If you need it for something more than basic scenario or worrying about hot object in your wall plug, do not buy
