From my experience with B&O their speakers are generally fantastic but overall very pricey. The Beolit Bluetooth speaker is awesome but I tried the headphones and wasn't very impressed by them. Not sure if it was the H9 or the model before it, definitely try these instore somewhere before purchase. The actual b&o stores let you try them.

Not sure which version you tried but this 3rd gen sounds awesome… and comfortable as well.

oh righto ill have to give it a go then

    • They are 100% pricier than others, so wait for the sales, but at this price they offer very good value for those that are really into headphones/audio/bluetooth/etc. I was able to try them at my local David Jones too.

Good price, decent brand. I had a paid of H6's that lasted me 4+ years - super comfortable with great sound. Only transitioned off them to the Sony WH-1000XM3 because my phones stopped having 3.5mm jacks.

    • They made H4 wireless and H9 at the time you would have bought the XM3. Imo the XM3 are made for the masses, while the beoplays are targetted more at people paying a premium for the build quality, but also for the certain sound signature.

    • H6 were one of the best headphones B&O had. Basic functions and just worked!

  • Will these work for gaming as well ?

Depends on the device you’re playing on as this supports Bluetooth/3.5mm.

B&O have a headset called Portal, designed for Xbox. A PC/PS version is coming very soon, we can’t wait!!

I bought these for gaming recently as they support APTX-LL protocol, make sure you buy an APTX-LL bluetooth receiver if for PC, to ensure there's no audio delay, as it is noticeable, especially when you watching movies (lips dont sync to sound)

I have had these for about 3 years now, I got the version 2 replaced under warranty for the version 3, they are awesome, anc is pretty decent. I’m no audiophile, but I can’t listen on any other headset now. Disappointed that the firmware hasn’t been updated, and also the low battery noise beeps every minute when you get low, so they are unusable for the last 10 or so percent. Version 2 the battery was interchangeable, these aren’t.

You can replace the battery, but it's behind some screws on the 3rd gen.

Got these as an upgrade on my worn H7. The earcups seems slightly smaller, and. clamp much tighter with much more passive sound isolation.
