    https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/evga/x17

Weight seems to be about 107g without weights on the rtings website (for those who care).

    • The price is great so good buy.

But if you care about weights then you should be using wireless since the cord randomly adds weight constantly.

      • +1

Leave a certain amount of slack in the cord.

      • +1

        Just use mouse bungee.

  • +6

Is it me or does that mouse look hella uncomfortable to hold.

    • +6

It's designed for men with big hands. And you know what they say about men with big hands…big……….gloves!

      • +10

They need to use more hand sanitizer and moisturizer?

        • That too! 😁

      • +1

What "gloves" we talking about here?

        • +1

          the latex kind

      • Sigh… I wear size s gloves

  • +18

I always wanted a mouse with headlights.

    • +9

      air intakes for overclocking.

  • +5

I got one of these for around $40 last time it was posted. I feel like its probably the best mouse for the money i have used.

    • +1

Same. especially love the 0 slack buttons, so easily pressed even resting my fingers on the buttons. Love it. Agree best bang for buck.

  • Can i program the buttons to work as gestures on my mac?

  • How good/reliable is the seller? Though to order a desktop for gaming from this shop just this morning. Any good?

    • +2

BPC are as good as any other PC retailer in Australia

    • no issues from my single mouse order

  • so their mouses are as good as their GPUs?

    • it's very subjective…. depends on your preferences and past experience with their products…and even the type of games you play. only you can answer that for yourself.

    • +1

I will let you know once I figure out how to install a mouse in a pcie slot

    • No idea but I'm starting to take notice of EVGA peripherals as they seem to be both cheap and have some well thought out differences.

eg. the backlit keyboard has a proximity sensor to turn the key lights off when you aren't there.

Rather than something pointless like say Razer.

  • +1

Not bad, big question is 1 mouse or 2 rats.

  • +1

Mouse noob here, is this going to be a downgrade from my current Logitech G403 (wired/wireless both modes available) or the Razer Basilics X Mice?

    • +2

      the shape is a downgrade.

      • Mouse shapes a personal thing.

    • +1

I would guess yes for the Logi but I don't know.

You can probably sell it without losing money if you don't like it.

  • +2

This thing looks like its going to turn into a decepticon any minute

  • Ordered and be because EVGA is usually good, even though I hate using new mice and keyboards because slightly different setup feels completely weird.

    See how it goes.

    • Buy from eBay store…

  • That's a good looking mouse ngl

This deal is still active and seems to be on backorder if you want the EVGA Z20 and X17 combo for $99. Shipping is a bit expensive but click and collect is available.

$10.00 off with AfterPay Code: AFTERPAY10

    New Total = $25.00 πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • is this usable for left handers?

    • +1

it's not an ambidextrous design, especially the buttons on the side.

  • +3

That mouse looks like it's about to take off.

    • max dpi of 16,000..your mouse will stay because it is corded, but your cursor/crosshair will.

  • Bought, thanks. Used the ebay 5% (premium +?) to get it for 33.25 shipped

  • Thanks OP.

    • +2

      • -5

I mean it's just straight ass, go buy a viper mini or smn this is hot garbage ewaste

        • +5

You haven't added any more information. So, once again, why?

          • -4

            @ihfree:

            1. Horrible terrible shape
            2. Extremely heavy
            3. Extremely front heavy bad weight balancing
            4. Shit plastic shrouded cord unlike every single modern mouse that try t9 replicate paracords
            5. Omron switches with prob the worst tensioning
            6. Rubber grips on sides, so when they peel off, mouse is ruined and can't replace them

7.horrible black died ptfe feet with sharp non rounded edges
            8. 8k polling rate which means it won't work in some games until u switch it to 1k just passing people off

    • +4

Go back to mousereview. You can circlejerk over ambidextrous, featherweight mice with the rest of the reddit gnomes.

      • Batchest I'm so different and like this mouse for no reason at all

        • +4

I’m tall with very big hands. The viper mini feels like a childs toy in my grip.

The blanket recommendations given to tiny, lightweight mice on mousereview is laughable.

Plenty of pros far better than you and I still use stuff like the G502.
I personally use a Deathadder V2 Pro, but was surprised at how well I was able to play with the X17 in a match recently at PLE.

          • +1

@seerious: maybe the guy is 8 and that's why he prefers the tiny viper mini as he is.

          • @seerious: maybe like 5 years ago but 99.99% of pro valorant players use shit like xm1r s12 and gpx

  • this looks cool, but i'm left handed and need an ambidextrous mouse.

  • I am using this mouse with z20 light switch keyboard for about 2 months. No issue until now. You can use Evga Unlash Rgb to program the keys

  • got one with the afterpay discount - $25 buckaroos - why the bloody hell not?

  • Oof. $25 with afterpay coupon. Great catch OP.

Tried one of these at PLE a few months back and found it great in-hand.

Sick of all these featherweight tiny mice.

    • They give you an extra 5x 5g weight insert as well, if you want it to feel heavier. *puts on flak jacket….

I mean this as genuine advice.

      • I run a couple of weights in my g502. Each to their own. πŸ‘ πŸ”₯ πŸ˜‚

  • How are people applying the after pay discount? Was this a targeted coupon because I'm thinking I may have claimed it in the past, no bueno for me.

  • Sais item is located in Mount Waverley, Australia, yet it is being shipped with sfexpress, which i believe is a chinese shipping company. Never heard of them being used to ship domestically in australia before.

    • when i bought mine, same seller, same item, BUT on their amazon store in September. it came from VIC.

  • Thanks OP, bought one. Awesome price.

  • +1

I've just received mine and i think it's great - i use a Logitech G502 hero usually and this one is just as good, although it does have different button placements than what i'm currently used to with the mouse from logitech - i took advantage of the after pay $10 discount with this mousel, so i'd say it's great value.

  • I also just changed to this from Hero G502 and the weight difference is instantly noticeable, this is so much lighter and I added a couple weights to compensate. After a couple hours of playing tonight I'm really happy with the product and price. It doesn't feel as solidly constructed as the G502 but I have already packed the the G502 away forever. G502 is a good product but this just feels nicer ergonomically for to me to use.

Only downside is there a little less thumb placement wiggle room but was only apparent once in a 2 hour session when i misclicked the side button. Was surprised how little downtime between mouse swap that this one felt second nature.

PS: front led's OC'd my cpu by 1 Mhz

  • Care with this mouse, im not too sure if they fixed the mouse wheel. I have been using this mouse for about 5 months and then one day, whilst scrolling it breaks out of no where. It appears to be an issue with the material used in on this part of the mouse.
The wheel becomes loose and according to EVGA the issue appears to be for a small batch of these mice.
    I bought from BPC Tech

    • Mine broke just now. They didn't fix it
