9% Discount on Hotel Gift Cards, 9% off Bonds, 4% off JB Hi-Fi (EXP), Dan Murphy's, Kmart, Target @ AusPost (Membership Req'd)

190

Australia Post has launched a member's only platform for users who hold an AusPost account and are using their services (e.g a PO BOX). The platform appears to be a coupon and deal aggregation site, but it notably sells gift cards for major retailers such as Caltex Woolworths, Big W, Target, Kmart, JB Hi-Fi, Dan Murphy's and hotels.
The service is provided by Infinite Rewards.

Unfortunately there's also a 2% Credit card fee which seems to be unavoidable at this time. You can avoid paying surcharges by choosing Direct Debit / Bank Transfer.

Here's a few examples:

Retailer Discount Percentage
Accor Hotels 9%
Big W Wish eGift Card 4%
Bonds eGiftcard 9%
Caltex Woolworths eGift 2%
Dan Murphy 4%
Ibis Hotels 9%
JB Hi-Fi eGift 4%
Kmart 4%
Mercure 9%
Novotel Hotels 9%
Pullman Hotels 9%
Sofitel Hotel 9%
Spa and Wellness 9%
Target eGift 4%
Ticketmaster 9%
Woolworths eGift 3%

Want to see where else you could buy discounted gift cards? Check our Discounted gift cards wiki page.

Update Oct 9 2023: JB Hi-Fi gift cards are no longer listed

2% Credit Card Fee or 2.7% Paypal fee sort of kills the discounts.

    • Just logged in to say that too.

    • argh. missed that one, should've tried a mock checkout run.

    • I've got the option for direct debit "Direct Debit (Bank Transfer - no surcharge.)"

Why bother all those discounts are easily beaten .
Hopeful they become completive with a promo one day .

    • Even without it, the discounts don't seem that good compared to say Suncorp Benefits (which I appreciate is ceasing to offer new cards in a few days).

  • TCN has 10% off at JB hi-fi atm

  • I suspect that the "Big W Wish eGift Card" is a Big W card (redeemable only at Big W), not a Wish card (which would be redeemable at any store in the Woolworths group). Can anyone confirm?

See related forum post from 2020.

Yes, the Big W Wish Gift card is only usable at Big W.

      • Please note that as of 21 October 2020, when you purchase a Woolworths Branded eGift Card, it will only be redeemable within the brand for which the Store eGift Card is branded :

BIG W eGift Cards will only be redeemable at BIG W, online and in store.
Woolworths Supermarket eGift Cards will only be redeemable at Woolworths Supermarkets / Metro, online and in store.

      • Its a little confusing as if someone can buy thru the seniors site, a "wish" egift card, that is redeemable at all stores. The branding of Big W Wish eGift card seems to mix and match.

Why didn't they just call it Big W egift card? (no Wish)

To muddy the waters even further, it says this below the “Add to Cart” and “Apple Pay” buttons:

Receive 4% Off Woolworths WISH eGift Cards when purchased through our online store. Redeem your Woolworths WISH eGift Card at participating Big W Outlets.

It even says in the terms and conditions on the same page:

          Terms & Conditions:

Woolworths Limited is the issuer of the WISH eGift Card (“Gift Card”) but is not the promoter of the offer and is therefore not responsible for the products or services under the offer or the fulfilment of the offer terms. Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and are redeemable at participating stores only. For a list of participating stores and full terms and conditions visit www.everydaygiftcards.com.au

To check your Gift Card's expiry date, transactions history and card balance visit WISHgiftcard.com.au or call 1300 665 249. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash. We will not replace lost, stolen or damaged Cards. For the full Gift Card terms and conditions visit WISHgiftcard.com.au. WISH® Gift Card terms and conditions apply.

I think someone has royally screwed up the BIG W gift card page.

  • Where else do people go for their gift card discount purchases now? My two go to places have stopped recently.

    • I have access to a number of the portals listed here.

Which portals did you previously use that are now closed?

      • RACQ Lifestyle and Suncorp Benefits have stopped selling gift cards

        • RACQ Lifestyle is definitely closed.

Have you tried logging into Suncorp Benefits lately? Suncorp Benefits and AAMI Lucky Club were supposed to shut down on 21 Jan 2022, but Suncorp has now moved the closure date to sometime this year. Also, one of the mods confirmed yesterday that Suncorp Benefits is selling gift cards, and I just checked AAMI Lucky Club (the version of Suncorp Benefits just for AAMI customers) and it is still selling gift cards too.

@WookieMonster: Oh yeah, you're right about Suncorp. It seems their gift cards are still available for now. The link on the wiki page is no longer valid though, it just goes through to an error page.

      • Phoenix health and suncorp, I thought suncorp would be finished up by now. Currently only really accessing shopback gift cards and NRMA blue (until expires). Phoenix health was pretty good whilst it lasted, the discounts were quite sharp.

  • All the hotels are Accor brand fyi

  • Neg as issue with retailer

They use a third party (Infinite Rewards) who often take 7 business days to issue the eGift cards, compared to most others which are instant. Refunds take 3-5 business days.

Fees also aren't communicated until checkout and are insane (4.7% for PayPal)

Edit: can't neg deals >180 days lol

  • nothing for aus post insurance holders!
