Mint chocolate chip ice cream rant

Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream,
I've loved it since I was thirteen,
Think I discovered it at Walgreens,
But in Oz it's not quite mainstream.

Here the mint chip is not very chippy,
Instead the chocolate is just flaky,
I think the brands are a bit skimpy,
I paid for chocolate you frickin' stingy!

I tried them all like Pana Organic,
Tubs of Bulla Creamy Classics,
Connoisseur when it's half price,
Even Ben & Jerry's politicial advice.

All I want is are thick big chips,
Enough chocolate to sit on my lips,
Yes I know they will go to my hips,
Give me your thoughts and your tips.

    I feel like the range of products that we get in Australia is significantly less than in the US. Which makes sense given we're a country that has 13 times less of a population and probably market than the US, so I wouldn't expect much.

    Just get a tub of vanilla ice cream and break up a wing crisp bar and mix it all together, thank me when your having the best ice cream of your life ;)

    Sounds like a rap from a manufacturer that does strawberry vanilla ice cream trying to bash the choc mint maker.

    Sometimes things are different in different countries. When I lived in the US bread and coffee were awful (luckily there are improved options in most areas now).

    Anyway in Australia I think the mint chip with actual chips is more at icecream shops, like the places where you buy by the scoop. They usually get there supplies from wholesalers like this https://www.everest-icecream.com.au/range/core-range/ice-cre…
    You can buy direct from the supplier from this place but need to buy 5l(so I’d recommend finding a shop that sells it by the scoop first to see if you like it).

    Otherwise just buy a packet of choc chips and stir into the supermarket ones for double choc flake/chip mint.
