SCA Bungee Cord - Multi, 18 Pack $5 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Supercheap Auto

SCA seems to have various bungee cords and straps on sale.

Some reviews say the bungee pack quality is poor, but the individual ones are well rated. Others available:

short lived under the aussie sun. not recyclable

    • yep - the larger SCA ones degrade quickly in the sun, so doubt these smaller cords far any better

"individual ones are well rated" by a total of one reviewer

I've used these, most of the small ones are useless. There's 6 (3 pairs) that I use regularly that are worth it.

Edit: Actually this looks like a completely different set.

  • 0/10 would not recommend these for bungee jumping.

    • +2

If you survived to talk about them, surely they warrant at least 1/10?

Does it hold the weight of a 70kg mass dropping 60m down?

    Asking for a friend

    • 70kg? Tell 'em they're dreaming

Buy the cheap ones and then when your load comes loose on the road you can have a starring role in dashcams australia!

    • Damn I hope no one is using these to secure loads lol. Maybe for a tarp.

I thought these were called ocky straps.

Thanks for posting Chef! Picked up some for inside my van.

Haha, these are so handy. You never forget the first time they wack you in the face.

    • A friend was telling me to get some with low snap back - basically they use a different type of elastic so they still return to their previous shape, but slower, so they won't take out eyes or cause injuries.

Does anyone have any recommendations for that type?

  • Would not recommend. I have these

Ebay plus option is awesome as no stock nearby for click n collect

  • Apart from bungee jumping, what can I use these for?

    • +3

I use them to hold things to the interior mesh on my trailer, hold gates shut in the wind, and hold light things onto the wall in my shed and yard. Wouldnt use them to tie anything down on the car

    • Belt, braces and\or suspenders.

  • Out of stock in all stores near me. Delivery is only $5 for multiple quantities.

As an ophthalmologist/eye doctor I would always be careful using these. Seen countless blinding injuries!

  • Plastic hooks in this UV intense country are essentially garbage.
