  • Any idea what brand batteries.are in these?

    • +5

A grade polymer batteries from CVATOP New energy (Used in Aukey and Romoss powerbanks as well)

      • I would prefer 18650 less likely to be impregnant for no reason. Unfortunately they weight more and takes up much more space.

    • -4

Whatever the alibaba seller jams in them before the sell them middleman ibelievesyd for his on-selling.

      • +7

I see these type of comments for the company and no one else. What do you think everyone else does? Do you think they are all unique and have their own battery manufacturing? Even Anker repackages chargers and batteries… Why are you all targeting this company?

        • -1

Do there companies also claim to be 100% Australian owned powerbank manufacturers?

          • +1

@iamherenow: Ford territory was also 100% manufactured. Right? All that means is it’s assembled here. Obviously you don’t live in the manufacturing circles…

            • -2

@Larsson: You are trying to suggest zyron assembles their powerbanks?

One of us has no idea…

  • Any deals for the deskpod?

    • Unfortunately not mate. Next deal on Deskpod will be around April :(

We have deal on the new 90W GaN Charger. $74.99 after discount using code NEWLAUNCH. Link

      • Any chargers with 3 or more usb-c? Total output power not really important, but I like to use multiport c chargers over multiple less port c chargers

        • We currently have 2-C max. 3-C charger will be available in 3 weeks time

  • does it have heat sink issue and die like Baseus 65W 30000mAh power bank? if not I will get two

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/673509

    • +3

No such issues mate. 2 in 100 get 1 LED light failure out of 4. But we replace those under warranty.

  • Not bad and weighs 410g

    • +4

Heavier the better though. Lightweight batteries just don't last.

I couldn't find any professional reviews but here are amazon customer reviews on this product if anyone is interested.

  • +2

Could I use this as a UPS for raspberry pi? It would need to continuously deliver power even when charging/not charging/connected/disconnected from supply power.

    • +3

hi mate. one of the previous buyers has confirmed that it has a quick power reset so cannot be use for Pi unfortunately.

      • +1

Bugger. Thanks for the quick reply.

      • Is this the same kind of thing that could prevent an Apple Watch charger from working?

I’ve had trouble with travel chargers and the Apple Watch before, and my presumption is that since the charger doesn’t “know” it’s charging the watch (since there’s no physical connection) it stops providing power.

      • The baseus version (granted an older 30Ah version) will stay “on” after plugging in and pressing the power button- I assume all would be programmed similarly? Though I’m not sure of it has pass through power vs continuously discharging the battery whilst continuously charging it? Maybe with a super low current (?300-500mA) charger attached it’d do the trick?

Might buy a couple and test it out. I reckon 4 of these in parallel would be a brilliant ups once finessed.

I’d love to see a bigger capacity version with ups-like use thought of

  • I have one of these and it is good BUT quite bulky and heavy.
Other smaller battery I have can be held in hand behind my Note10 - this one not so much, is more for charging while on the table or so.
Still I do not regret buying it, I never actually managed to empty it (I charge it as soon as I get back home).
It also has pass though charging - as far as I can see.
I do not use the C charging or powering though.

  • Any deals on the smaller 10000mah varient?

    • +3

10000mAh deal around end of Jan mate

      • +1

        Is this still happening?

  • Does it have an indicator to see how much capacity the powerbank has left?

    • +4

      It has 4 LED indicators - 25, 50, 75 and 100%

  • Almost on par with a previous deal at $23.99

  • +2

Thanks OP, happy to support a local company instead where prices are competitive with our chinese friends

    • Thanks mate :)

  • -8

    Neg!

    Previously cheaper:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/665077

And seller still claims to be a manufacturer when they are not:

"Zyron Tech is 100% Australian owned & operated. A specialised manufacturer of Premium range of Fast Charging consumer electronics and mobility products, specially GaN Chargers & Power banks."

    • +4

There you are. Missed you bro :)

      • -2

Yeah I thought you may have given up spamming your powerbanks here.

    • agreed manufacturer appears to be misleading - looks like Chinese manufactured products. But I think $25 is still pretty good compared to AliExpress atm

      • +1

back in previous deals i think the justification was along the lines of that it's standard industry practice to claim you are a manufacturer when all you do is import powerbanks with your logo slapped on them by the alibaba seller. Therefore justified.

        • not surprised, I'm sure we still see that a lot across many products. But with AliExpress charging shipping fees on bulkier products this deal isn't so bad, assuming quality of Powerbank is on at least par with the chinese ones

          • @OZcheepsk8: a quick search on aliexpress shows you can get multiple no-name 20000mah chargers for around $15.

            • +1

@iamherenow: You can also get multiple no-name 100000mAh power banks for $15 on eBay/Ali if you're still willing to forego critical thinking.

      • +5

Not really misleading mate. Only that this guy is a sad competitor who has an agenda and misleading audience. We do nothing different than Cygnett, Belkin, Alogic, Ravpower, Satechi and many more. We have explained this quite a few times already in previous posts.

        • +4

To be fair, just because others do it doesn't mean it isn't misleading. Just means its an industry wide problem and you need to do it to be in the game. Don't get me wrong - I still believe this is a deal and would buy it again knowing this and knowing you guys get the margins rather than the chinese companies.

            • +10

@canberrascooter: its called supporting local. No racism involved. Stop trying to make this a woke problem.

              • -6

@OZcheepsk8: what do you mean supporting the local? He's selling a Chinese product designed and made in China.

And yes your comment and intention is rooted in racism and/or protectionism.

                • +3

@canberrascooter: You either lack understanding or just only wish to bring it up as a woke problem so I will enlighten you so you can stop with this bs.

Chinese manufacturer gets paid $X for each unit. Zyron gets $X margin between Sale and cost price. Zyron gets the margins instead of Baseus or Xiaomi or whatever else. Money Zyron earns is more likely to get used in the Australian economy in some form.

                  • @OZcheepsk8: or you could just buy direct from china, cut out the middle man and do something better with your $x cut zyron takes.

                    • +3

@iamherenow: Right, so do you want to source me a supplier direct for 1 unit? Not sure you understand how this works

                      • @OZcheepsk8: it's called aliexpress…

                        • +2

@iamherenow: Bruh. AliExpress sellers are also a middle man…

                          • @OZcheepsk8: Not all of them.

                            • @iamherenow: If you can share some brands with me who are also manufacturers who are more price competitive I'll go direct to them.

                              • @OZcheepsk8: Buy wherever you like. I don't see why a no-name brand is a bargain when other no-name brands are almost half the price elsewhere.

                    • +2

@iamherenow: Doesn't buying through Zyron net you ACL? AliExpress, not so much?

                  • @OZcheepsk8: ok, I get your point. But your comment sounds like like you rather than Chinese companies because they're Chinese even when the product is Chinese made and no jobs have been created at all here in Australia except the middle man.

When I hear support local, I usually think buy Aussie made

                    • +2

@canberrascooter: I'll be surprised if any Aussie companies are actually making power banks, we've offshored most of our manufacturing capabilities, and if it was made here, I can't afford those power banks

                      • +4

@OZcheepsk8: anyways I bought two, I too rather pay more for locally stocked product than waiting for months from China. I guess middleman does have its value, convenience and peace of mind from local warranty.

                  • @OZcheepsk8: You should check out his usename canberrascooter, probably pro Xi politician slackly he is

            • +2

@canberrascooter: People who call out racism are racist them selves. Getting offended on someone else's behalf is Supremacy.

              • +1

@mckayver: "People who call out racism are racist them selves. Getting offended on someone else's behalf is Supremacy."

Neither of those statements are true.

        • you said he's a competitor. Do you have iamherenow's store website, I wanna see what type of Chinese power bank he is selling?

        • Basically whitelabelling

    • +5

      Is that still the claim?
I can't see that on this post or the website.

And you can't neg just because it was previously cheaper by a few cents.

      • -1

        on their ebay account.

Edit: and was previously a dollar cheaper!

        • +3

You linked to $24.64 vs $24.99

Anyway have you got anything to declare on your affiliations or competitiveness with regards to the deal?

      • +5

It was there on our Ebay store from a year ago when we first created. We have deleted it anyway.

        • -5

Nice - I may just have to give up on negging you in future!

    • +1

Idc if op claims to be Allah and the products are made from dinosaur remains found on Mars.

I'm a consumer and value for money is my only concern.

    • +1

Made in Australia powerbanks??? with what Kangaroo juice??? Plenty stupid business idea if it's presented to the loan providers. Why make a product on a remote continent when you can do it on Xi's mainland where battery, plastic mould, electronics, is manufactured. Australia is best at producing fine food and wine products. Stick to what you do best.

      • If you can manufacture kangaroo juice batteries I'll be first in line #all natural #green

  • Op looking use 2 in my car for my dashcams In parking mode.
    Car type c -> powerbank 1 -> powerbank 2 -> camera.
Can u seen any issues with this at a high level?

    • Website doesn't confirm passthrough :o

    • So this doesn't work without manual intervention.

Have to press the button the powerbank each time input to the powerbank changes.

If camera is on when car is powering the banks and u turn the car off. The camera will turn off and the powerbank side button needs to be pressed to turn the camera on.

      Now I have 2 useless powerbanks :)

  • I bought one of these to power a HomePod mini and I've been very happy with it

  • +2

I bought both 10k and 20k last year. Both are solid power banks.

  • Anyone uses this with Macbook Air 2020?

    • I would not recommend mate. Air requires a 30W input and this power bank provides 20W max.

      • My xps13 says the same, but is totally fine running off 20w. As a back up power source, it’ll be fine, just be slow to charge the laptop when in use.

  • +1

Very happy with mine. Good communication with seller too

  • +1

looks like it weighs a kilo and thicker than toilet roll
    thanks op bought 1
buyer's remorse - microUSB PD takes 2 days to charge

    • Is it possible to charge with usb-c? Appears so from desc but wanted to confirm with someone who has it

Edit: ignore. Thought you had one already, but let's hope usb_c works as input

  • I have the 10000mAh version of this from a previous deal and it's a good unit. It's become my go-to power bank for day to day needs.

Price is good enough to not bother fishing for the cheapest possible power bank on Aliexpress etc. which usually ends in tears anyway. Consider the price difference the cost of having actual consumer rights of return etc. where you won't get scoffed at by the seller (if you get any reply at all) if things go south - the seller has a vested interest in reducing their return rate, so it's more likely to be a decent unit.

  • Product weight not listed, must be heavy.

    • Size: 151x68x29mm

      Weight: 410g

      Specs updated now.

      • Can you update the specs for the 10kmAh version as well? I want to see if it's worth replacing my older Samsung power bank.

        • 149 x 68 x 17mm
          210g

Will update on the page as well.

  • Hello! Would this be suitable for a Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 (i5)? Im currently in the market for a powerbank for school to charge both my laptop and phone. Thank!

    • +1

hi, I would recommend a 65W PD Power bank. unfortunately, this one won't work.

  • Thanks - Just purchased two. My old Aliexpress one died yesterday so it was great timing for a deal!

  • Any deals for 10kmha?

    • hey mate, that would be around mid feb

  • Hello do you have prick up available in melb or anyway to get it by Friday ?

  • Thanks OP bought 1 for my rechargeable kids.

    • Cheers mate

  • How longer does it take you to process the order? I have placed my order on 18/1/22 today it is still says 'Unfulfilled' in the 'Fulfillment Status'. Thanks.
