[eBay Plus] Baseus 65W 30000mAh Power Bank (5x Outputs, 3x Inputs) $57.99 + Delivery @ baseus_official_au eBay Store

This is a pretty decent deal on a big-ass power bank. The cheapest it has been from this store is $65.59 in September. With the code, $57.99 I think it's the lowest price it's been. It supports 65W charge via USB-C, so should be good for a bunch of current gen laptops too. We just returned from camping for 3 days and it comfortably kept my Galaxy S20 FE charged the whole time. The only negative I would caution is that these things are (unsurprisingly) heavy. It's the trade-off you make for capacity. At 550g, you probably need to warn your Sherpa before you climb Everest with it.

  • Great deal ;) Thanks OP for posting. Only downside is weight ;(.

  • Dumb question, my laptop has a 70WHr battery, what does 30000mAH convert to in WHr? Basically how much of my laptop can I charge?

Also is this the best 65W battery at this price? The other ones I have seen are $100+

Usually power bank is 3.7V, so at 30AH, it translates to 111Wh

      • Oh wow, that is a big boy. So at 80% efficiency I could get an extra laptop charge out of it. Cools.

  • $4.00 standard and $6.00 express postage to regional VIC.
EDIT: $8.00 and $9.00 respectively to my home address which is the neighbouring suburb to work… =_=

    • $4 to metro Melb. OP should update the post.

  • This a good power bank?

"At 550g, you probably need to warn your Sherpa before you climb Everest with it."

The Sherpa can make the summit 5 times carrying you and 200 of these powerbanks with one hand while still keeping the other hand free for pleasuring himself. - Said Sir Edmund Hillary

    • Ok, but this one is 30000mAh and 65W, so apples and oranges.

  • Any passthrough?

    • Only one usb type-c. So no passthrough if USB PD(like laptop charging). But you can use regular USB A ports for charging while using type-c/micro-usb/lightning ports for charging the bank itself.

      • If no passthrough then how can u charge and be charged?

        • Charge out(5): 4x USB-A + 1x USB type-c(PD upto 65w)

          Charge in(3): 1x type-c + 1x micro usb + 1x lightning

          Total no. of ports: 7

Simultaneus charging scenario - No PD
          Charge in: Micro USB/Lightning/USB Type-C
Charge out: Any of the 4 USB-A port

          Simultaneus charging scenario - PD
          Charge in: Micro USB/Lightning
          Charge out: USB Type-C

  • do you get charging brick with these?

    • It needs a cable to charge. No brick required.

      • -1

where do you plug that cable to? I have iphone 20w adapter, will that work? or macbook brick?

        • Both of those will work. But Macbook brick will be a lot faster.

          • @tchcrat: ahh thanks.

  • Beware of the quality of this power bank.

I bought one from the exact same seller on ebay and it died after one month of use, see my video.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIpgYvMkEtI

Seller has issued full refund but you should be aware of the issue.

I have bought many many power banks over the last decade, most are lost or given away, but this is the only one where it just dies suddenly when it is basically still new.

Agree. This is a well built powerbank which uses high quality components with one major design flaw. They put one out of 4 output Mosfet's in the back side of the pcb and didn't bother to put a heat sink on that side. So there is fair chance, that one mosfet can overheat if driven to max over a prolonged time, burn and short the entire output stage emitting toxic smelling smoke until the whole 30Ah is depleted.

I got one couple of months back, used couple of times and then burned after a heavy charge session. After they replaced, I did a forensic of the original and send the results to the seller and requested to pass it on to the design engineer. Hopefully they learned something from it and won't happen for 2022/2023 baseus powerbanks :)

      • yes you might be right.

It died while charging my phone while in my bag inside my car. So it most likely overheated as you said.

      • Thanks for the info tchcrat. Is it possible to easily add a heat sink, and without damaging the case? I have one of the early ones made in 2020-09

        • The case is a tight fit with battery glue also adding to the structural support. Possible but without scratching the side it is very difficult to get into. Also need to be very careful not to puncture the battery when prying through the edges.

    • ZMI: 40% expensive than this with 17% less capacity.
      ZMI: Total 3 ports(2x Type-C 1x Type A) vs Total 7ports(4xType-A, 1x Type-C, 1xMicro-USB, 1x Lightning)
      ZMI: 100w output vs 65w

If at the same price ZMI is a no brainer. Two type-c and 1- type-A is any day better than one Type-C. Also ZMI overall design looks bit better than this.
